About Me

Damn it, this was supposed to be a hobby! Somewhere along the line it turned in to an addiction that others seem to keep wanting me to indulge.

For me, all of photography – model based, landscape, nature, wildlife, macro, architecture, you name it – is about getting to share the beauty I get to see in a single moment with the world for all time.

The two biggest buzzes for me, right now, are:

Getting to show someone a stunning side of themselves that they never knew was there.

Getting to show the rest of the world another way of seeing that amazing person.

With Kate, I was able to help her take her acting career to the next level, providing shots that honestly showed her yet grabbed casting agents eyes.

With “the model” (she has a separate life and wants to stay anonymous which I can totally respect) in the sepia shots, it was about getting to show someone who was convinced she could never be seen as beautiful just how amazing she could look.

And, yes, the clown is indeed a self portrait. Whilst I don’t claim anything like the beauty they get to share, it’s still about showing something people don’t usually see in the subject – in this case myself – and presenting it as everything it can be.

TFP/TFCD
I’m happy working TFP/TFCD if it means helping someone get started or if they’ve got a great idea they want to work on that catches my interest.

A quick note on TFCD – I very deliberately overshoot and then pare down. I capture far more spontaneity if we’re getting the unintended moments as well as the deliberate ones. In terms of images on the CD, figure on my sorting through, picking the best ~20-30/hour out, rather than simply dumping everything. I trust everyone is cool with my getting to shoot the way that lets me produce the best work without worrying about having to put every last miss-shot out there to represent me.

TFCD, I’ll always get in the mail to you within 24 hours of the shoot unless we’ve discussed other things coming up first. TFP takes longer as I do much more work on the images but I’ll generally send you the CD first, while you wait.

Escorts
Escorts are totally cool with me. The more comfortable you are, the better shots I can get. We both win.

Locations
I predominantly shoot in and around the San Diego area. I know the area and a lot of great hidden spots pretty well. I’m also up in OC/LA a fair amount – likely more so as I’ve just been asked to shoot several series with different models for someone else – so that’s an option too.

Contact
The easiest way to contact me is through this site's mail system. With the joys of modern technology, I tend to get notifications pretty quickly.
