About Me

My name is Megan and I'm a photographer/artist in the Ottawa area.  I'm originally from Belleville so I travel there a few times a year.  I also try to make my way to Toronto whenever I have the chance.  I'm currently in my first year at Algonquin College for Photography.  I previously graduated from the International Academy of Design & Technology with a diploma in Computer Graphics.  I will be updating this page on a regular basis with my portfolio. I also hope to use this for networking with other photographers, models, MUAs, directors and artists. What I'm Looking For...

I'm going to require female/male models for photo shoots. You don't have to be experienced but just have a willingness to learn. My photography tends to be a little on the darker side, so you've been warned. The photo shoot, will roughly last a few hours, depending on the assignment. Unfortunately, at this time I can't afford to pay you. Your time spent as a model will be compensated with TFP(Time for Print) or TFCD(Time for CD). If I'm happy with your work, I may hire you for future paid assignments.  I would love to add more fashion, glamour, pin-up, fetish and erotic images to my portfolio.  It will be very beneficial if you have an interesting wardrobe.  If I don't need you for any current shoots I will keep your file on hand and contact you if an appropriate assignment comes up.  If you're interested in modeling please send me an e-mail with the following information:

A Typical Shoot

Please notify me in advance if you're going to be late or can't make it to the shoot. If I don't hear from you then I probably won't be working with you again. You may bring a friend, if it makes you feel more comfortable. However, they're not allowed to touch my equipment, under any circumstances.  I will give you a general rundown of what I have in mind for the shoot. This may be a description, images or sketches. If you wish to provide your own wardrobe, I need to approve it, and the same goes with makeup & hair. Amanda Giroux and Christina Druce may be on hand at some of my shoots to assist in these areas. Please be professional and ready to work when you show up. I won't shoot any models below the age of majority. You will be required to sign a Model Release Form and provide proper identification. I'm very open to creative input and concepts so don't hesitate to suggest your ideas.  I tend to give a little direction to try and achieve the look I'm going for but I really like to give you the freedom to pose naturally.  I constantly update my lists so check them out to see the style I like.

Travel Plans

I'll be in Las Vegas, NV from May 30-June 6.  I'm looking for models who will be in the area that are interested in doing a photo shoot.  I'll be staying at the Grand View on 9940 Las Vegas Blvd.  It will more than likely be a fashion shoot so message me if you're interested and we can discuss further details.

Modeling

I'm also interested in doing a little modeling.  I don't have very much experience but I think I'm able to pull off a variety of looks.  I'm a 25 year old female.  I'm about 5'6" and 105lbs with dark brown hair/eyes.  If you have an cool idea for a shoot then send me some details.

Image Use on Portfolios and Websites

I don't mind if you use the images I've taken of you on your profile or website. In fact, I encourage it. Please don't remove the watermark, crop or retouch the image. I really can't stress this enough. I try to keep it as small and out of the way as possible. I'm obviously into photography for my love and passion for it but at the end of the day it's still business. If people don't know who took the picture then it sort of defeats the purpose. I'm just starting out in this business so it would also really help me if you promoted my work. Not only that but when images are cropped improperly it's really aesthetically unpleasing to the eye. My photos adhere to certain compositional and professional guidelines. I also like to try and keep my work as consistent as possible and make sure they are displayed the way they were intended. If someone asks you who took the picture and it's mangled then it reflects poorly on me. I hope this is clear and don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions.
