Dalonte Powell began his journey as a runway model for a local Model Troops in the Washington, DC area, during his adolescent years.  He has continued to mold his career in the industry and has received many requests to consult others as a Creative Director and Sponsor for fashion shows.  After graduating and producing his first fashion show at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School, Dalonte continued to focus more on consulting with other model groups in the community as a runway coach and an executive broad member.
While serving as the runway instructor at John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center, Dalonte’s passion for cultivating youth socially grew stronger.  As a creative director and runway instructor he witnesses the struggles youth experience with identity and acceptance issues in today society. Dedicated to making a difference, Dalonte decided to blend his passion for fashion, modeling, teaching, and youth advocacy into a vision of fun, fashion, and á la Mode.
