I've been fascinated with photography since my earliest memories.  I had one of those Fisher Price cameras covered in blue rubber that shot little film cassettes that looked like phone receivers. 

Now I shoot on big 4x5 and 8x10 view cameras and digital SLRs but try to keep that same sense of wonder about the world and the images I see in it.

Been shooting all my life, but it wasn't until about 5 years ago that I started thinking about actually pursuing it more seriously.  I started doing head shots for all the aspiring actors and models I knew in LA, and figured it was going well, so I put my developing career in counseling on hold to move to NYC with my best friend to try freelancing.

The year I spent there taught me a valuable lesson... it sucks being a tiny amoeba in a vast ocean!  So decided to go to the University of Texas @ Arlington photo program to beef up my resume, develop some more cohesive bodies of work, and figure out where it was all going.  I went in wanting to do commercial work, and somehow they turned me into an obsessed "fine art" photographer.

I'm now in the MFA program at Notre Dame continuing to practice my art!
