About Me

My name is Kim Brennan and I’m an internationally renowned henna artist, award winning face and body painting artist and author of 4 pattern books that are sold worldwide. I teach advanced henna in India, London, Las Vegas, California, etc. and will be teaching in Florida for FABAIC (Face & Body Art International Conference) and showcasing my work both in henna and face/body painting.

Please visit my website for a short client list, bio, magazine and newspaper articles and watch video and TV interviews about me and my work as well as a conference list of where I’ve taught and full gallery. .

I’ve expanded my services to now include face and body art under another company name 'Mardi Gras Face Art'. Because one business (henna) is so serious and the other more light hearted and/or geared to a different audience, I’ve selected that name for the body paint department. I’ve already garnered the attention of some rather well known contemporaries and am enjoying the possibility of training others through the face and body painting circuit. Now that you know a bit about me, I’ll tell you why I am here!

I am always looking for professional photos of my work. I have plenty for my mehndi (henna) art through wedding photos and bridal magazine/media photo shoots, but I would like to work with local photographers and models for the purpose of attaining portfolio pix and for the ability to create in the face and body painting department! I have many of my friends who would volunteer, but with a model they have a sense of drama and body awareness that is a talent that I don’t have in my personal circle. Looking for models and photographers looking to build their personal porfolios with some fantastic full or partial body art. Male or female are welcome as varying canvas is needed. I can do completely topless, but require nipple covers as I would like to keep my art 'g' rated - it is up to you if you feel this is 'nude' work or not. It will never be tasteless or too sexual - sensual is fine as long it is kept genuinely artistic. I will work for compensation other than photos if more risque photos (fully nudes, topless or fetish) are required by the model or photographer as I will be unable to use the photos. Due to the work required and paint cost, those sessions would require monetary or barter to be decided at that time.

As you can tell, I paint to an international standard and this is something that Winnipeg does not offer so this is a good opportunity to have magazine quality artwork for your own portfolio! I’ve included henna models from professional shoots and shots of my work that showcase my abilities, but as you can see with the body paint….I would love a professional photographer with an artistic eye to make them pop off the page! Hopefully we can get together!

Please email me from the contact page located on my website or phone:
775-2786. If you are not local, we may be able to meet up on one of my conferences or locations out of Canada. This year I will be attending conferences in Providence Rhode island in March and Las Vegas in April and Florida in May. Further dates to be confirmed.
