I am a small-town artist, specializing in portraiture. In addition to my photography I make oil paintings, drawings, and ink works based on my photos.

I provide something a little different in that I work from photography to create traditional art pieces. My painting process generally starts with laying in the line work from the photo, and then drawing in a fully rendered charcoal drawing straight onto the panel. I fix the drawing, and begin glazing in layers upon layers of thin oil paints. I also create semi-stylized alcohol-ink drawings in addition to my realism charcoals.
