I was a fetish model for about 4 years; it consistently pays. You can't exactly shoot a bunch of personal interest projects unless you have an income from something that allows you to invest time and energy in traveling around, shooting trade you WANT to shoot. So you sell what sells, and you have to post what sells to get more gigs. Maybe a lot of them actually aren't goth queens, but that's what folks in your area are wanting to shoot, so that's the look they advertise.
