Check this one out.......

Dear Eric Muss-Barnes,

I saw your thread in the model matters forum and you announced that you were interested in an escort job for models. All joking aside, if you are serious, I am looking for an escort that I will pay to accompany me on TFP, paid shoots, runway jobs, etc. I can offer you $8/hr which is as much as I can afford for now, but if you add that up for a 4 hr shoot thats an extra $32 dollars in your pocket (off-books) which in just for one shoot. And I plan to do multiple shoots per week. (It's basically the same as babysitting wages and you will have to do much less).
Also, where exactly in CA are you located? I'm in LA, if you are not than this might be a problem. But if you are interested, then message me back.

Warm Regards,
The Model

Dear Model,

You have got to be joking. Why would you hire me, a total stranger, to be your escort on photoshoots with total strangers?

Don't get me wrong. The idea of getting paid to just hang out with a beautiful model and make sure no one accosts her is certainly a great notion.

Surely you must have a female friend or a boyfriend or someone who would do it for free. What would you need me for?

I'm not saying "no" I'm just saying, "why"?

In answer to your question, I'm in Burbank.

Eric

Dear Eric Muss-Barnes,

Okay. Thank you for your reply.

Dear Model,

Okay? Okay what? I didn't turn you down. I asked you very specific questions and you did not answer them. I was open to discuss this with you, if you wanted to answer my queries.

Eric

Never heard from her again ..........

Wow she even did the math for you! But I haven't earned $8/hr since I was 16.  It's funny to me that she would think this would be worth your time

Have her pay for gas too. And weapons. I prefer a 9mm Beretta for my protective services. And some cool sunglasses. Oh, and one of those wierd synthetic knives like Ming Tsai sells on the Food Network.

Oh sorry, that was for the lettuce chopping job....

This is why I was honestly NOT sure if she was joking around or not.

You can't read "tone" in an email. So, maybe she was kidding.

But, I took her as being rather serious. The fact that her reply was so terse reinforces the notion that she meant what she said.

The whole thing just weirded me out. Honestly, if you saw one of her replies to one of my forum threads, you would think her email to me was even MORE strange. But I didn't want to include that detail about her thread-response and subsequently reveal who she is.

I have no problem making fun of someone. But I won't do it in public - that's just rude ... Unless I'm hanging out with my best friend and she's mocking some dork in Starbucks.

Right after I got out of the Army, I was offered a job as a "specialy security consultant" in Seattle. They liked my background and education. I can kill people with all kinds of stuff, yet wear a tux well and know how to carry on a conversation that isn't like, "Uh, Thorg bored standing around..." I politely turned them down. But my job would have been escoting people to all kinds of things, I would have made a LOT more than 8 bucks per!

Personally, I can't stand 9MM. I like the way a .45 slug cavitates when it hits a body, the exit wounds are SO much nastier. When I went to "trouble" spots for the Dept of Defense and later on the Army, I always carried my M1911A1.

Perhaps the rate was so low because a fringe-benefit of preventing sleazy photographers from trying to get in her pants, was that I would've been allowed to get in her pants!

Damn! I blew it!
