I recieved this email, i'd like to know what you guuys think/how you would read into it.

"I am just checking with you to find out if you are interested in some different types of assignments that pay $150-$1500 or more;

Briefly the qualifications for some jobs are different from others and are dependent on the assignment type and the client requirements. Some assignments do not involve photography and require your presence and personall appearance and participation in/for the particular events or situations. These jobs typically are for events related to promotional/public relations/ hostessing private-public receptions/vip services/entertainment/product marketing and exhibits/training/-safety-educational demonstrations/product effectiveness spokesperson and some research projects.

For economic, practical, and strategic reasons this is only offered to people who represent themselves and make their own decisions. This offer is not available to you if you are under exclusive contract with an agent, or you are a party to a management arrangement.

There are a diversified range of assignments available and while there are assignments that are geared for people who prefer to be more  conservative or specialized, there are also varied other assignments that might appeal to someone who is different or a bit more adventurous.

When necessary  round trip travel expenses will be paid subject to economic feasibility for some assignments."

I guess I am just wondering why you can't be signed to an agency to do this, makes me wonder!

I'm sorry Jordan, I thought I answered it for you.  If it was me, I would just move on and forget this one.  It is so replete with red flags.

It is cryptic filled with nothing but doublespeak.  It talks about those who want conservative and then other kinds of things.  It smells a little bit like someone looking for escorts, but I don't have enough information.

I guess I don't have the best answer for you, but my feeling is that something doesn't smell right and when it smells wrong it usually is wrong.

if it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, its probably a duck

whether or not you're also signed non exclusive with an agency is inmaterial, in fact generally those types of events are generally booked exclusively thru agencies for economical, logistic, reasons.

im in nyc, most spokesmodel jobs dont pay more than $200/day at places like the chelsea piers or javits convention center.

modeling something at those types of events pay around $500/day tops, and they would NEVER fly in anyone for an event

and unless you're some sort of expert in some related field, i dont see anyone paying a model to speak LOL

For an introductory letter, it's too vague. Heck, even the Associate President of Uganda who has been trying to convince me to deposit an untold amount of money temporarily into my checking account is more thorough than that!   ...lol

Clearly testing the waters to find escorts.

If you want to be an escort, I say go for it. If not, I say ignore it.

Next?

Tell them that you are someone who is different or a bit more adventurous and see what they have to offer. I think you will get your answer...

Sounds like someone who wants to "manage" a string of "models" who are a little more "adventurous" and willing to cater to a group of "clients". Probably a bait and switch scenario.
