What is up with this testing for agencies via webcam that I've seen a whole of lately?

I'm curious.

I've put a downpayment on that Brooklyn bridge you guys have so many times, but all the owners turned out to be scammers, but as a moderator I'm sure I can trust you! Could I get a good discount if I also buy the Montana property? Would you let me move the bridge to Montana so I could that I could drive my car across the beautiful Bute ocean?

Forget the Brooklyn Bridge! I have a piece of land off the Florida Keys for you.
Lots of Farming potential, Lots of Schools nearby, Very few Neighbors, Great opportunity for swimming, and most important of all, it is really really inexpensive compared to the price of land on the florida keys!!!

BTW Models, If you want to practice tesing via webcam, I will help you out! Simply let me know when, and I will run you through the paces so that when the scammers, um legit agencies, ask you, you will be ready to perform without discomfort!

A girl I recently worked with was hit up by the same thing.  The agency looked legit on the website www.qmodels.com but the "audition" was very suspicious.  Sit in front of a webcam and make faces?

Here is my gut feeling:

It'll start with faces.  Then you'll be asked to wear something sexy and parade around in front of the webcam.  Then they'll ask you take certain clothes off.  The whole idea is to see how far you'll go.  It's just "beat" material OR it is a "legit" audition for a porn webcam stuff and they want to see how you are on a webcam so they can hire you for that kind of work.

That's my gut feeling on it.

Testing or Casting? Seems like a good way to do a "go see". Even to see if your pictures are anything like your profile. As a photographer, I'm ok with that.  But Testing? What kind of test is that? Steer clear of all that craziness.
