I know Wolfes Camera in Topeka has them. I love going in and playing with them.. (and the employees hate me for never buying anything *cough!*)

Yeah they are really fun. I could not be cheap and buy one off the web site at full price.
But I figured before I got one new I would check around cause you never know.

Why didn't you say something earlier, I have an extra one :-)  The original - I bought the lensbaby II and really have no need for the original.

Another local shooter has the org and told me the II was better with the rings, so I bought that one. Why do you think anyone would buy the II and sell the original?
Guess I should try and use it...

It's a funny little lens thats kind of hard to use. The one I have is the 2.0

Lensbaby 2 is worth the price. Its amazing and I've foundit brings the fun back to photography - or maybe just brings the kid out in me.  They are cheap - go buy one and have fun. They are great fun with buildings and industrial things.

Your asking the wrong person. I've heard of a 4x5 (I think it's called a medium format) and 35mm would be a standard film camera.

I just put it on the 10D and turn a few knobs till I like what I see

No, no 4X5 effects. Its more of a Holga effect, but not even that. The lens is mounted on a movable tube and in moving it it distorts part of the image. Hell, just shell out the money and have fun with it!

There is a shot from one in my portfolio. Just got it this week.

It is cool as hell to use. I have a 4x5 and its not the same efffect. Cross between that and a Holga.

I saw these demo'd at the PhotoExpo in NYC this past weekend. Really cool little lense!

But really, couldn't that effect be done in PhotoShop?
Just select an area with the lasso, feather and invert the selection, and then blur.
Seems pretty simple to do.

I love the Lensbaby.  I haven't tried the 2.0 yet.  I bought mine directly from the website.  Here's a sample...

I have several pictures taken with 5d+lensbaby2 from photoplusexpo here http://www.niteart.com/gallery/people/ppe2005/

Great fun, but imho sharp area is too small on full frame camera. Talked to inventor, he said I am the first who complained smile
