Saw a sluggo convention soaring through the air behing my house, searching for new models to take advantage of. They were near my well site locations, so they must have picked up someone's scent:

Excuse my ignorance, but how did the term "sluggo" come about?

My guess would be that it harkens back to late 70's Saturday Night Live, when poor Mr. Bill was mangled at will by mean old Mr. Sluggo (with full cooperation of Mr. Hands!)

No, sluggo is a model mayhem specific term.

It's a play on a certain Mr. Slug R. Worth a model manager of a model who has some "interesting" requirements for TFP shoots.

The term is applied to photographers who allegedly manage models, like OMP allows.

Hmm. I thought Sluggo was a  character in a comic strip; I think it was "Lucy"

"Nancy" was the comic, Sluggo was a little bald kid that looked kind of like a bulldog.

Watching his models shower is Sluggo's favorite pastime.

We should resurrect that thread. Those requirements were oh so funny.
