HAha that is laughable.
No one is being killed because they are dark and light.
So how is it the same?

Btw do you know any bloods or crips?

Rwanda was a tribal system

Elections were held, the group with 85% population won.
The new Prime Minister(mr 85%) was killed.

The 85% group got pissed and commenced a killing spree.

Now come back with the names.

Yes, and he also failed to addressed why and how many those tribal wars got started. That is, if he knows the history. A good read is author, James Michner's 'The Covenant.' The book explains how and why many of those tribal groups got started. Many of them formed due to colonialism.

What point? Do you know why those groups came to be? Read James Michner's 'The Covenant.' Those tribes aren't as old as many people think. Many of them formed to fight against colonialism and the other tribes that bought into the mind games of the colonialist.

We used to have a joke about those being loyal to the British during Independence movements.
Those homies would stay loyal until the Brits got into the boats and left them standing there.

Yes this is true and it is true in the Indian community. I'm referring to the people of India. The British influence played a major factor in the light skin and dark skin issue. Can't forget that this also was a big issue in other places. Italy. Josephine Baker's ex Italian manager and lover talked about the problems that darker/ethnic Italians experience vs the northern fair skin light hair and eyes Italians.

Just because it isn't physical doesn't mean it isn't detrimental.

Having to go through life knowing your own family doesn't like you, even though they've never met you can do just as much damage to someone.

Michner's book is a very good read. The book is a thick as a dictionary. James changed the names of the tribes and colonialist. But the historical parts remained. Zulu and many others were trying to get rid of the British, dutch etc. The after math of these colonialist brought in warlords in Rwanda and othr western African countries.

Hell why do white people go get tans? Dark skin, light skin, tan skin, white skin, isn't it all just a person's preference?

if you're truly beautiful and you know it
you wouldn't be worried about whether or not your light or dark skinned
some will prefer you, some won't
beauty is in the eye of the beholder

the op said that it was rubbish
so why even post a thread about it??

Beauty is all around us.... all shapes and sizes and all colors ... I personally  have always wanted to tan .... something that I cannot have... so it stands to reason that this is why I want it so bad. I guess it all depends on what the person wants or clients and in turn the public....I think the preference for dark or light or inbetween depends on what part of the world you are from ... what one feels familiar with.

I don't know. It seems that as far as high fashion is concerned, the opposite seems to be true. With the exception of Tyra most top black models that come to mind are medium to dark skinned. Not that there arn't fair skinned models but IMO there seems to be  bias in the opposite direction. Though that is probably not true of commercial.

I know a lot things, but that's irrelevant and doesn't define the overall point that I made that is more relevant to the actual topic than the point that you try to make.

As Miss Fifi-Alexis stated earlier, skin color preference happens within every ethnic group. In the asian ethnic group, the darker skinned asians (from the lighter skinned asians point) are always looked down upon because they are associated with country-pesant and hard labor groups, or low income and less educated people. That goes for all countries in the world. Light skinned are looked upon as people that have been brought up within a higher-up or welthier family. It is inevitable and uncontrollable just as religious prejudice and racism.
