things that bug you for no reason,

"I regret the photos that were taken of me"

you took photos means either
a. you stole some
b. you are a photographer taking photos

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a woman exposing her hoohoo is like a man photographing his bank account statement.

I would ordinarily say whats the big deal, like yours is somehow different than anyone elses, like its made out of gold or is horizontally oriented rather than vertical and should be protected from public view at all costs.  But put into its proper context as that which is our gender based primal value, then yeah I suppose you have an issue.

Seeing as how her logic about what is "acceptable" or not is questionable, me thinks the pics in question probably aren't so arty.

It really is that simple.

You are a model.
You are a business.

Claiming coersion or "I didn't know" simply states the obvious.
You won't be a business very long.

Only you can control your image.
You didn't control it like you wanted.
It is your fault.
After all, you are your own CEO

I believe your company has just been downgraded to junk stock.

Perfect!  I believe she's due for a government bailout!  Awesome.  :^)

Also, in regards to the post above, that I'm too lazy to actually quote.  When you said no one is saying what the photographer did is wrong, the point myself and others are making is that if someone, even wrong, got some shots of your precious hoohoo on the sly, its not the worst most damaging thing in the world.  Hell I'd be 10x's more pissed if someone stole $50 out of my jeans than if they snuck a peek at my little man.

Well thats exactly the point I'm making.  To a woman, her hoohoo IS the $50 in your jeans.  THATS why she's pissed.

I know thats what your saying, and I think thats a ridiculous thing someone thinks that a particular body part is more or less precious just by being what it is.  The context and circumstances are what makes something "precious" or not, not by sheer virtue of existing.

Its a societal brainwash with sexuality.

Last week for the first time I took nude photographs. The shoot was supposed to be implied but the photographer kept telling me he had to have body shots for his port since he had none and that my identity and face would remain anonymous. We took many artistic and commercial shots in black and white with white sheets. We did several poses and when I got my pictures back there were many were u could see everything genitals and all WITH my face exposed. I know at the time I let him take the photographs but NEVER did I intend on taking full nude pictures, probably my whole career. I plan on going into acting and if I ever make a name for myself I don't want these pictures to come back after me. I regret taking any full nudes. The other ones were cool now I'm uncomfortable and uneasy that there are nude pictures of me out there. What can I do? Yeah yeah I know I agreed at the time but I regret it now and I don't feel right. Is there anything I can do to protect my privacy?

if you both agreed to do body shots only and no face or identiy well then he should hand over the offending images, but you said that the images contained genitals. Had you been aware that you may have had some private bits showing?
Well at that time you should of had stopped the shoot, and if you were shooting digital at the time you could  had looked at what he was taking and edited the image.....

Dude, just look at all the zillions of threads about doing nudes on here.  THATs what all that is really about.  Its the "goods".  Its the bank account.  Dress it up, shave it down, tatoo it, paint it, it all boils down to the same thing.  The only reason anyone wants to look at it art or otherwise is because its the bank account.

Post your bank account.  Go ahead.  In pixel detail, down to the penny.  Probably not going to are you.  Same reason.

Dear Miss Santos,

We regret to inform you that you have not been chosen as one of the contestants on the next installment of "Flavor of Love 5: This Time I'm REALLY Seriously Gonna' Find My Truly Romantical Mate" with Flavor Flav.  It has come to our attention that you once posed for what we've determined to be scandalous images.  As you know, the Flavor of Love franchise represents wholesome, family oriented viewing, so we do not want to have our reputation affected by actors of low moral character.  We're sure you'll understand.

Regards,

VH-1

P.S.  Don't bother applying for Bret Michael's "Rock of Love 7: Cure for the Itch and Genital Warts", we run that show as well.

Oh yeah...I could see how this could sink someone's career.

What is the difference between artistic nudes and that??

They still include nudity and plus you can't see the other model's face, so the only person who would get judged for it would be you and your honey covered tounge.

Regardless, It doesn't matter what kind of pictures you take as a model, if you're a fantastic actress, no one will necessarily hold your nudes against you. And the same thing goes for acting, if you ever get approached to do a nude scene or a sex scene.

Anyway the bottom line is that people are always going to judge you whether you have art nudes or pics with a t-shirt and pants. And since you're going into acting, don't expect people to embrace you out there.........it's extremely rough and unforgiving.

Just be confident with your talent, and ignore peoples judgement about you, because, no matter what you're going to get eaten alive if you let a few nudes get in your way. And destroy your chances of having a prosperous acting career.

Just talk to the photog if you really don't want them out there, besides without a model release, it's illegal for him to sell the pictures without your consent.

Your last sentence has nothing to do with this thread. Apples and oranges.

Yeah "dude" I get what your saying, I'm saying its the context that matters not the "what" so much.

A cheesy "thong" shot is more "negative" when it comes to art than a tasteful nude.

And really if you want to see my "bank account" so bad and the opportunity comes up for you, look, enjoy, giggle if you will.  But its not going to destroy my life like so many delicate flowers going on about it here.

So in whatever context the "bank account" is shown, or for however and whatever reasons people enjoy seeing "bank accounts", its not the most horrible freaking thing in the world.

What I find very interesting is that throughout the entire 5 pages of this thread, not one person seems to have questioned the photographers integrity.

The OP states that she told the photog she wasn't comfortable with full nudity, but he coerced her into doing it, with the promise that her face would not be captured.  Now it turns out her face is visible, and her privates are spread wide - I doubt the chances of him obliging her wishes at THIS point are slim, since he didn't seem to have any respect for them the first time around.

If he obliges her wishes, (and nobody ever comes across them on an internet porn site), then he regains some credibility.  If he doesn't, he's a snake.

Now the OP's integrity on the other hand, has gone through the ringer.  BUT regardless of what she has in her port already, people do have personal boundaries, and if she felt hers were crossed, than she is entitled to feeling that way.  In MY opinion I'd sooner have a tasteful b&w art nude in my port than the "controversial honey shot", but that is my preference. The OP clearly has a different set of standards as to what she deems acceptable, and she's entitled to that.

My guess is what happened was that, based on the types of images the OP has in her port, the photog figured he could push her a little further for his own agenda.  And now we're back to the age-old debate:
If a girl dresses like a slut to when she goes to a bar, and gets assaulted, is it her fault because "she asked for it"?

I personally saw no need to question the photographer's integrity because it is immaterial to me.

Less than honorable photographers are always pushing for more.  Models need to know their limits and keep "regrets" from happening.

Chicks who can't do that need to take up another hobby.  This is an opportunistic industry.

This is absolutely nothing like the girl in a short skirt getting assaulted in a bar.  No one forced the OP to do anything.
