Aloha! Thank you very much for your tips! I'm not an MUA, so I'm still trying to decipher some of the things you mentioned, but for the most part it made total sense! Thank you for making the world more beautiful! ~ Belly Donsah

Good lord we need more Canadian mentors! I would do it myself as well if I felt that I had the experience, but I'm more in the shopping-for-a-mentor situation. But I can say there there are lots of artists in Toronto that have been helpful to me that I think would make EXCELLENT mentors. *coughdianacough*

I have a few other mentors on here that I ask for help and advice now and then - and they all don't live near me.

I had a very busy and shitty winter, but I'm making more time this summer to do awesome things, and mentoring is awesome! Woo! I am sometimes slow to answer MM messages because I forget to check my inbox, but if anyone has MSN and wants to chat: [email protected], and I can also be reached via my regular email: [email protected]

Seeing as there are no Aussie mentors, I don't mind adding myself to the list if that's ok. I'm good with newbie questions because I only asked them myself recently, and I find a lot of makeup artists I work with ask me how I've done something. New to makeup (6 months exp), worked in Film, Tv, Theatre, and photography. Studying a Diploma of Makeup Artistry, and I specialise in Asian faces.

Hi Re your idea, I am in the process of trying to get a thread stickied in the 'Newbie Forum' that would detail what each LIST does with a link. I think that it may be asking too much to ask for the LISTs themselves to be stickied to the top of their respective forums (even though that would be the best result!) I put a request to the Moderators via the "Contact a Moderator" on May 15th and M.Hana stated that he would pass the request onto the persons responsible. I am patiently waiting for a reply. Peter

Peter Buckley-Saxon wrote: WELCOME 1. Check the below list to see if there is a Mentor in your area 2. If there is, send a message to the Mentor telling them what help you are after. The Mentor will get back to you, telling you if they are able to help, and if so, how to proceed. 3. If there is not a Mentor local to you, put a request on this thread, and check back regularly as the Mentors list is regularly updated. War Paint Hi everyone I have a question about this ^ Does the mentor I choose to ask for help ABSOLUTELY have to be FROM MY AREA? And why? Well, there's nobody on the list from my area (Queensland, Australia) and I'm wondering if anyone from other countries would mind answering some industry-related questions which are not area-specific. Some things I need help with are marketing/networking - related. Cheers Jules
