When the model demands pay,......
do you give the photographer an invoice or do you expect a 1099 at the end of the year? Jul 09 05 01:09 pm Link A 1099 is only due if you pay the model more than $600. Not too likely IOW. And it's not too likely you'll get an invoice either. Just make a note of who you paid and put it in the file. Paul Jul 09 05 03:11 pm Link Paul you're great! =^_^= Jul 09 05 05:26 pm Link Sara, you're better than great! Paul Jul 09 05 06:05 pm Link why would you ever pay a photographer... They pay you!!!!!!... Jul 09 05 09:14 pm Link Clients pay models... not photographers. Just think about the extra time spent getting your pictures ready for printing/posting,the wear and tear on his equipment (camera, cards, lights, computer, CD burner) and the cost of the media... unless it's a new photog getting a BIG NAME model to pad his portfolio with, it makes no sense for a photographer to pay a model for portfolio work... Now working on spec for something that might sell, that's doable because the model onl gets paid if the photographer makes money off her images. Jul 09 05 09:33 pm Link Eh, always pay with a check so you have a receipt for your tax guy. Mine's name is George. He's my hero. Jul 10 05 05:20 am Link Posted by sasharochelle: That's fine Sasha. You can say that and you'll be fine. Just as long as you remember that it don't work that way when you walk into Sears, or other regular commercial studio to get your portrait done. No matter how foxy you are, you'll be standing there forever. Jul 10 05 05:28 am Link |
