Finally got my heat to work! Now if anyone stays at my place, they won't be blue when they wake up.

I have a white one!!  I wear it to work all the time.  I have a regular black pencil skirt with a normal waist too, though.  I'm a real life sexy secretary... only not a secretary, an editor.

AND I went shopping and will now be bringing a killer sexy black dress and some new corsets that I haven't shot in yet.

I'm excited...

House lights should be no problem.  Not sure about stage lights...

Think we'd be allowed to use a fog machine for atmosphere?

As long as it does not damage any of the fabrics or architecture, I would say we should be fine.  I would limit it to the stage areas though.

So who's up for some fire dancing (haha not real fire Adam!)
If you all aren't up on your 1920s peep show/pin up, I fill you in on something I love about the period. They used to have girls dance will real fire in pointed bottom urns. I came up with a way to simulate that kind of effect without  the threat of live flames!!
I made some cones and covered them with mirrored tiles and then bought some flame-looking floral pieces and put them together. I think it will be so freaking fun!! I also made the "gold" crown-like head pieces that the dancers would wear. They are not exact replicas but I think they will photograph nicely. If they don't we will at least feel the parts!!
i am not gonna post images it will be a nice surprise or shock! lol
hehe-- i feel like a little elf stitching and pounding away here!!

I am SO BUMMED right now.  I had ordered two GIANT burlesque dancer black ostrich feather fans to go with the lovely corsets we will all be wearing, and I just got a call that they were damaged in shipping and won't make it on time.  GRRRRR!!!

Anyone know where I might be able to go buy/rent something similar?  I had a really cool idea for them.  Dang it dang it dang it dang it.

sad

Just added to the shoot and very excited. Anyone want to share some clothes for the shoot? I am open to most ideas, so if any of the photographers have any for me, let me know. See you Sunday.

Does anyone want to do an "Anita Blake" from the vampire hunter novels?  *grin*  The theater made me think of Obsidian Butterfly, but i'm just silly like that.

Hi Everyone!  Sara invited me to come do the make-up at this event.  If any of you are interested in having your make-up done, please email me by Friday to let me know.  Please include in your email what your concept is and what you will be wearing.  Also, as a fair warning, I only do make-up--your hair will be up to you.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

I should still be able to make it.. I've been on vacation all week so sorry I haven't planned any shoots.. If there's nobody available, I can just photograph the theater.

Glad you will still be able to make it.  I told the organizers of the Halloween parade I had a great photographer to shoot the floats.  smile
