I am not sure if this has been posted in the forums but I couldn't let this slip by without sharing. The link below has some beautiful retouching done by Nienna on DeviantArt.com. She also provides pamphlet-like tutorials on D&B as well as cleaning up the skin.

She also has a video download that shows her entire process of retouching! I thought this was really great for myself as well as for those who are still in a learning process of retouching.

Enjoy!!

Yeah I was watching a small bit of it last night and fell clear asleep..lol (not that it was boring, I was just extra tired...lol). But yeah she is and from what I have seen so it is a pretty good tutorial on D&B for those who do not favor it so much (like me, only because I am not an expert at it yet...lol).

I will say this thought...D&B is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG process and I think that alot of retouchers may re-think their prices once they learn it....lol...I know I am thinking about it...lol

This retoucher isn't that strong.  You should check out the retouching that Fadil Berisha's team does.

That retoucher's work is very, very good! Unfortunately there is no tutorial on what they do to help the rest of us learn some better techniques, of which I could post on MM. smile I think that Nienna tutorials would be a good start for some people and they could use the techniques to develop their own way of retouching. smile

I know she has an account here on MM.  Don't remember what it is, but if you're going to be talking about her work, it might be worth mentioning to her.

Maybe it's my screen, but I spotted a lot of imperfections in the Berisha stuff. The work didn't seem nearly competitive with the top retouchers on this site.

That girl is pretty impressive.

Thanks for posting this. I'm no PS expert (in fact far from it) but she looks like she has some real talent; nice to see she is so willing to share tips.

You, young lady, are simply awesomesauce!

You do absolutely gorgeous work, and are quite talented for one so young.

I for one would like to give you a whole hearted thank you for sharing your techniques and talent, and to the OP for bringing this lady to everyone else's attention!

Some of Fadil's work recently are not as clean as before, I have of copy of the 2006/2007 Miss Universe program book and the retouching was not as good compared to his work with Thomas Canny.

Perhaps not to you, but to others it may well be.  It is always a good thing when someone is willing to help others who wish to truly learn do so.

Getting in before Big Brother Shuts this thread down...

Let us not forget that one of the rules is "no unsolicited critiques."
I believe a lot of the posts above violate this policy.

OP posted information that was out there, that may be helpful to others.
If you like the information, great, thank the OP,
If you don't like the info, move on.
Putting the information, or others down (unsolicited critique), to make yourself feel better, isn't necessary, nor helpful to this thread.

My 2 cents.

Okay smile

So I found this site which I felt was a pretty good read for beginners of retouching. This read somewhat "trains" you from the very, very beginning of you starting to retouch any image. ( I am pretty much talking about "Tip#1".) The others you can read as well to see if it will help you. smile

I thought this was an interesting read in regards to "printing" using photoshop. smile This is for CS2 but I am sure it can be applied to other versions.

No problem at all! smile. I know alot of these things can be found by other by just doing a google search and that these are not "exclusive" tutorials but I thought it would be helpful (at least to those on this site...and for those who can get lazy like myself tongue ) to have them all in one place.

I am really glad that it can help some of you...including myself. smile
