one is overexposed , and the other is very underexposed - needs some photowizard magic.....lighting....backgrounds, etc. ...please help!

you do realize that these are small files as well?

Id expect at the very least a link to download the original files.

The trick is to get your lighting sorted out before you shoot!

Depending on what sensor you captured these images with, the blacks may never render any detail.... blown out hight lights may be unrecoverable.

Photoshop can refine a good image but it can't recover information that wasn't captured correctly in the first place.

I dont see an overexposed image in either of these examples.... ???? I would say underexposed & very underexposed.

try to use Shadow/Highlights command in PS.
shoot RAW next time.
