Hi, It's me again. I was in the last thread, before it got locked. I'm a student, and I can't afford a proper 11x14 portfolio. My goal is to get a fashion story published, and, it seems that unless I get an industry standard portfolio, I simply won't be taken seriously. I can't promise cookies, or hugs if you vote for me - such is the nature of the internet. But you'll probably get a warm fuzzy feeling. Almost as fuzzy as this gentleman's tummy.

I would like to enter. I am a photography student in Oklahoma. I do not have the money to print my own portfolio. I have hopes and dreams to become a great photographer and I think that a nice printed portfolio would really help me get started. I am going to have an internship Summer 2011 and I'm starting to shop around for possible photographers and studios to intern with. A nice portfolio would be really great to have to show them my work. I'm dedicated and passionate about photography, I just need the tools ! You should choose me, I really need it

I'd like to be considered. I'd use my portfolio to get my name out to clients in the San Diego area. I would also use it to use it as a tool for potential clients. Boring, I know. But that's what I'm here for and that's what I'd use it for. Pat.

Ed Burns Photography wrote: You know I love your printing Brent, but I've never made any prints for myself and am in dire need of a portfolio. Please consider me for this contest. I've spent a lot of time working on getting the types of shots I feel I would need to present agencies. While I still feel my work could improve, I also feel I have enough now to put something good together. Thanks. Ed Burns vote

Brent, some really great developing talent has entered this time, and it's really hard for me to choose among them. However, I finally concluded that Anisa Nin should get my vote. Thanks for running this contest.

Previously, every one else had been family and friends, and that was something of which I had just started photographing a year ago this past March. In other words, I have been using a camera for just a little over a year, now, photographing people. I still have not had anything printed for a portfolio as the cost at this point in my life is just entirely too high. To be frank, photography has saved me in many ways. It has helped me to express myself more truly and purely than any other medium ever has. Even when I was just shooting with my crappy little 50 dollar camera (of which I still use images from, in my portfolio), I was able to take my emotions, and turn them into an image that taught me to better understand myself. Even helped heal me from some of the negativity of my past. To have my images as something I could hold, touch, and even use to hopefully further my beginning career ...I don't have the words for how much that would mean to me. Thank you for creating this possibility for people like myself who do not have the funds or means to make a printed portfolio. Vote
