After the two amazingly fun shootouts we had at that kick-ass house in Pound Ridge, we're coming back to our "home base" - Studio 212 in Metuchen, NJ.  And we're coming back with our most popular format - The Big Double Event.

We had a similar workshop in April, and it proved to be our most popular format yet.  The day will start off with a two hour lighting demo and lecture by Canon's Explorer of Light - Stephen Eastwood.  It will be immediately followed by the 7th installment of Pasha's Shootout, featuring 7 incredibly beautiful European models.  Then, of course, pizza smile

Sunday, September 19th.  Stephen's lecture runs from 10am-noon.  Shootout from noon to 4pm.  You can book one on one sessions with the models after the shootout is over (please check the one on one chart for availability).

Lineup:

Marketa - https://www.modelmayhem.com/658474
Olga - https://www.modelmayhem.com/1458251
Stefaniya - https://www.modelmayhem.com/1325293
Cathrin - https://www.modelmayhem.com/173076
Aleona - https://www.modelmayhem.com/544322
Oksana - https://www.modelmayhem.com/1426437
Alina - https://www.modelmayhem.com/1500493

You can book just the Shootout for $250, or just Stephen's lecture for $100.  $300 if you book both.  Promotion - first six to book both the lecture and the shootout get a free one on one with the model of their choice  borat   sorry boys and girls... the promotion is now over... smile

Deposit required.  Please pm or email me at [email protected] to book your spot, or with any questions you may have.

Do models pay to be apart of this? If so how much?

If they are shooting as a photographer? yes, but this is not an open model event where models can come and be shot at random, the models are all specifically hired to be models at the event.

About Studio 212 - What's it like, where it is, how to get there etc.

Studio 212 is a fully equipped professional studio located in an industrial building formerly occupied by a factory.  It's a HUUUUUGE place featuring 3 big separate shooting rooms, a large industrial hallway that we use as a fourth shooting area,  and a cornucopia of great picturesque nooks around the building.

Studio 212 is located in Metuchen, NJ. It's about a 30-40 minute car ride from the city, about the same from where i am in Brooklyn, and about an hour from from Philly.

The studio address is 212 Durham Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840. Please click here for map and directions.

Greg Price, our host and the owner of Studio212, who runs his glamour101 workshops from this studio, has put together a great page with directions, info on public transit and places to stay for those flying in from out of town.  If this is your first time traveling to Studio212, i would strongly suggest you check out this page.  Thank you for all the hard work Greg smile

one on ones...

after the the shootout is over, those who want to, will be able to book models for half hour long one on one sessions...

each one on one is half hour long, and is $50 (please pay the model directly)... one on ones are first come first serve, so if you plan on booking a bunch of them, please pick out who you would like to book right away, or be prepared to wait for the model to free up...

to keep things running smoothly one on ones must run like clockwork... there is a 15 minute break in between sessions, and you get a half hour to setup and shoot...

if you plan to experiment with lights, or have a complicated light setup which will take a long time to setup, please book a consecutive hour... otherwise, once your half hour is up, whether you finished setting up and shooting or not, time's up and shoot is over... no exceptions, so please no complaining and whining that you're not done smile

please check the one on one chart for availability

what to bring...

bring plenty of cards, batteries etc... some speedlites and maybe a reflector...

feel free to bring your own lights, stands, softboxes etc... we do not allow them at the shootout (we have plenty of our own setup), but if you want to use them for one on ones after - fee free smile

if you don't have your own lights, don't worry - we have plenty smile

one on one chart...

                      4:30-5pm    5:15-5:45    6-6:30    6:45-7:15   7:30-8   8:15-8:45
Marketa -         Vi (A)         Gregory(D)
Stefaniya -       Max
Aleona -                            Jordanelli
Oksana -          Bernard
Cathrin -                            Vi (B)
Olga -                                Warren
Alina -              Jordanelli                     Vi (C)

note:  we have 4 shooting rooms with power... you can shoot around the building, and there is a lot an i mean a LOT of places to shoot around the building, but power there is tricky... so take a look at the chart before you book your one on one... if you see 4 models already booked for a time slot, chances are the 4 studios are gone, and if you want to shoot at that particular time slot, you would need to shoot around the building... so you should either book a later spot or be prepared to run long cords for power, or just shoot with speedlites/reflectors/natural light...

those of you who have been to studio212 already know what the place is like, so if you want to book your one on one in one of the spots around the building - go ahead smile

those who are coming for the first time, i would suggest seeing the place first...

model releases...

non-commercial, promotional use only releases are included in the cost of this event...  we will have release forms on site, and you will also get a scanned copy by email a day or two after the event...

please do not bring your own forms... no one there has time to read through all the fine print and "legaleaze", so models just won't sign it...

to see a copy of the model release we use, please click here...

Unfortunately, I can't make it, but for future reference, I take it that would also apply to the "one on one" sessions?

yes... it's one release that covers the entire event...

but...

it's not really done to prevent you from getting a commercial release... it's done to prevent the headaches that come when everyone starts to bring their own releases... what always ends up happening is that the girls end up running to me, and ask me to translate what the release says... my russian is not THAT good, plus some of those releases look like biblical scrolls - filled with tiny, barely understood text, that goes on for miles smile

i need to run the event, so i don't have time to decipher releases and translate it to models... that's all it comes down to, and that's why on the day of the event only one form gets shown, only one form gets talked about, and only one form gets signed - our form smile

so, if you need a commercial release, feel free to negotiate it with the model directly... just make sure you do it either before, or after the shootout and not the day of... i'm sure some models will have no issues, especially if there is extra money involved, and some may balk... that part i have no control over, and honestly want to have nothing to do with smile

does that make sense ?
