She did recognise that it was a scam 'I was excited until I saw that e-mail' she just wasn't sure if the deletion of the account indicated a scam before she received that message via email.

Identical to the auto purchase scams out of Nigeria. I always tell them to send the check to the person coming to pick up the automobile, and THEY can give ME the cash. I never hear from them again.

Oh c.mon...really?? there are 10000 reasons why this guy deleted his account.
