This video is actually from my first "planned" shoot. My first shoot happened because a model no-showed the photographer (whom ive known forever) and I volunteered to fill in.
Anyhow, we videotaped the shoot and he gave me a clip of the highlights put to music. I've actually asked him to help me put together a promo video to help me get work but since that isn't done yet I decided to test the waters with this one first.
All it is, is highlights of me posing put to music. Is it enough to get you to book me? Do I come off as pleasant and easy to work with?
View it then come back and comment. I'll likely be putting the password back on it by 12 midnight eastern standard. I'm sure some of this footage is going on my promo video and I don't want it to get stale.

You've got a beautiful body, but I'm one minute in and haven't seen your expression change even once... and I'm not taken at all with the dead expression you're wearing.
1:02... signs of life! Things are looking promising!
Uh-oh, back to the lifeless expression. Now some life... But so far this has been either [lifeless, pursed-lips expression] or [smiles that seem more like outtakes].
I had to quit at a little more than halfway through.
Unfortunately, the photographer/videographer had you squinting/scowling into the sun. I wouldn't hire you based on this video. I'd test with you, to see if you can relax on-camera more than you showed in this video.

The still photos in your portfolio have more impact. But I know that there is a great video reel in your future.
I wish that you had video footage of your black hat- dress- sunglasses series. You looked like you had more fun and were more playful with your movement and facial expressions in that session.
You are a beautiful model and I know that you will have more opportunities to create some very cool eye-catching videos.
I am going to PM a video link to a MM model who has some simple but I catching videos in her portfolio. It may give you and your collaborator some ideas for a future video session.

This is good stuff and I agree with it. I'm VERY much still a beginner as a model and I've already come a long way since that shoot but its a work in progress. I was going to post the "In The Studio With Gina" video but casually dancing nude between shots to Destiny's Child isn't the impression I wanna leave either.
The good news is this isn't what I'll be using and the input helps me know what to ask for when he goes to edit something for me.

#1. work on posing. ESPECIALLY facial expressions. you made the same face throughout the whole 5 minutes, its so important to have a huge range of poses and facial expressions. Practice! :-)
Best of luck!

Actually there is a video of the shoot when I wore the black hat. We just didn't start shooting video that day till after we went thru that wardrobe change. AND I was nervous and cold and hated my hair but didn't want to stop. What he salvaged from that shoot really got my respect. He put it to "My Funny Valentine"

That video could be edited down to about 10 seconds long.
You should not be on one angle/look for more than 3 seconds.
Also its had no colour grading.
If you are doing another video i would aim for more angles/poses/variation to add more interest.

Well of the close to 40 views I've gotten only the 5 of you bothered to come back and offer the critique I asked for so I guess its time to shut down the video down and put the password back on.
But to you guys that honored my request and gave me the help I asked for I promise to PM you when I have my sample reel done and give you a preview screening before i post it on my page. I appreciate you guys taking the time not to just look at my video but to help the new girl out with feedback so she can do better.

I would be more likely to hire you on your portfolio than on that video. There is almost no emotion or expressions.
Out of curiosity, how did you get permission to use that song?

Unless its an issue of national or international redistribution or commercial or promotional use on a scale more significant than the 40 views I got on Vimeo, I'd hardly think it would be worth contacting the Harry Fox Agency to obtain a license.
I know more about music than I do modeling.
