The Rebirth of Venus, inspired by Botticelli

Photographed model (Jessi June) in my studio with a white backdrop. Photographed sunset over Lake Sybelia. Photographed shell with dragon trim owned by a friend on a black granite floor. "Borrowed" the angel elements from the Botticelli painting. combined all elements in PS CS6, adjusting color and contrast as needed to tie image together. Merged the Botticelli elements using layer styles. Same with Jessi June and masked parts to eliminate transparency. Finally, used the PS oil paint filter on the merged final image.

I have titled this: Wake me when it's over.
I shot Mary in the studio, upside down on a sky blue sheet. Then blended the sky (blue sheet) into a background shoot Mary took from a boat. I used "Ron's Splash 2", brushes to create most of the water, created a droplet brush to finish off the finer spray. All work completed in Photoshop.
