That's assuming that the photographer doesn't know how to spot the good from the bad, (your title and content). I DO believe that the photographer is the artist, and SHOULD be able to choose. But, the humor is not lost on me in this example !

Being serious for a sec - it's likely he was wi-fi'ing direct to the pic-desk throughout the event, so this is possibly the responsibility of the Pic-Ed, who will market the images differently from a contracted photographer working directly 'for' Beyonce...

There you go - That image, combined with the question, should be in the MM FAQs.

I worked for PA Images a few years ago and this is EXACTLY what they want from an event like this - a 'nice' Beyonce pic will sell up to a point; this will sell 1,000s more times for way more than standard rate.

Such is the commercial world.

EDIT: By the way, you can always count on Bevis and Butthead to be there when something like the above takes place.

Actually till now I don't understand why people think every photo from shot will be as great as the sent ones. They keep thinking that photographer hides good photos from them and don't want to give them away big_smile

In my experience, models always pick the worst images - You know, where you accidentally cut off their feet or hand, something critical is out of focus or one eye is mostly closed.

No, you cannot have that with my name on it. -.-

I think some models think that the best image a photographer didn't send is going to be of use to them.  In some cases, they have got to be right.  I've seen specific cases of a model / photographer team where I'd have to think that EVERY shot he took would benefit her port.  Or at least, a huge proportion.

I imagine that the reason photographers don't send RAW files is that they are not user friendly and much larger than JPEGS. https://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/rolleyes.gif

She is not typically photographed with lighting meant to show off musculature.
Most people seem to light her for glamour (curves), or she is photographed in relatively generic lighting, therefore inadvertently softening the appearance of muscle lines on her physique.

For women, unless body fat is very, very low, definition easily disappears in photographs, or is flattened by non-specific lighting.
