_____________ EDIT: I've decided to make this an ongoing threat (I announce here and at the end when I change my mood), so be patient and I'll get to you. But as I have a lot to go come back from time to time to see if I meanwhile answered you. _____________ I'll pick your best image out of your port (if I can find it) and maybe give an overall critique if I feel in the mood for it (and it seems important). EDIT: I gave one to almost everyone till now, so be prepared for it! If you want to give me a comment as a "thank you" I'd be delighted (it's not a requirement though). But BE AWARE: Please look at my port first and decide if you find me worthy and fitting of critique. I tend to be harsh and very picky!

I'll play. Hopefully my work shows some progress. (Oh, and your port is not only worthy, it's inspiring.)

Ceci L wrote: ok, I'm in First of all: Your pictures all seem to suffer from either compression or to heavy (detail-losing) retouching, which is a shame as you seem to look great overall. That being said I think your avatar is a pretty bad choice as your port looks better than your avatar suggests with it's heavy color cast edges and the smeared details. I could not decide between these very different two that I think are your best:

I couldn't pick a best, I only have some general advices for you: Honestly, I think you still have along way to go. Get lost of a lot pictures, concentrate on the best ones of a shoot. Get more variety and excitement in your port. Get a little more inventive in your themes (I can see traces of you trying). You have to work on your exposure and WB. Both are too much off in a lot of pictures.

I picked this one, but it was hard to pick a best: In general: You still have to work on your posing and especially on your facial expression. You look a little tensed (not in a good way) in most pictures and insecure in some. The facial expression seems quite limited yet.

I like this cause it looks like you're having fun and you seem relaxed: In General: Get loose of some pictures, work on your posing (get lost of the "hand-in-the-hair"-pose, it doesn't work 90% of the time) and work on even more variety in your port from high quality photographers.

Your port looks like one of a small area commercial portrait photographer (I hope that's the right expression - I'm not a native speaker). You should reach for a little higher. Try something more bold, more creative, more exciting.

L2Photography net wrote: Go for it. L2 I could not a great one sticking out. Your text doesn't seem appropriate to your port in my opinion. Your port needs structure, it's totally mixed up and at least the top half looks like you don't know much about lighting. I can't see any particular style or direction in your port. You need to do some serious work on your port. Sorry to be harsh on you.

Hector Pachas wrote: Great stuff there, but this has to be the one that catches my eye I like the avatar the most, it's quite good lit and the hairdress adds some suspense. I don't like the soft-effect in some of your pictures. Looks outdated. Also I have the impression you need more quality lighting equipment. The "beauty headshots" are not your strength (apart from your avatar) as they look not much like beauty and -sorry to tell you- in most cases not very professional. The swimwear-section is not that pretty as well.
