New lenses for my new d4
Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 G ED VR II Feb 25 13 11:37 am Link alessandro2009 wrote: Yeah, for the dance stuff, this is looking like the most likely solution, especially considering my 50mm on my D200 is "really" a 75mm Feb 25 13 12:29 pm Link Sophistocles wrote: Good question. Feb 25 13 02:02 pm Link No one has mentioned the 14-24mm 2.8 This is a real worker and if used right, can really make some interesting images. it is without a doubt the sharpest lens I have ever owned.. Full stop. No vignetting at any focal length, edge to edge, tack sharp throughout the entire range. And just one of the best bangs for the buck. You'll have to convince the USP guy you're me while simultaneously distracting my wife (and while I know how you could do that effectively, I'm not about to tell you! :-)) Feb 26 13 02:55 pm Link The 85 mm1.4 lens seems to be real popular, I have the G version and used a d800 to shoot these. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31688322 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31798028 And I think the 70-200 vr2 should be on your list too, this is a beautiful lens, here are a couple of samples hooked up to a d3x- https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31384900 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30334592. Have fun with that D4 Feb 26 13 03:04 pm Link I also recommend the 85mm f1.4 af-d, its my favourite lens. the 135mm f2 is nice as well but not in the same league. I didn't see anyone mention the 180mm f2.8 AF-D? Its a great lens, very sharp and can be picked up for peanuts if your lucky. Sure, I dream of upgrading to the 200mm f2 but in the real world I am happy with the 180! Feb 27 13 12:13 pm Link -fpc- wrote: I have been waiting for the new 135/2 DC. For my old Dx, 85 mm is real good, but for D800, I would think that 100 or 135 mm will be golden. Feb 27 13 01:38 pm Link 200mm or 300mm if he is getting the 70-200 Mar 01 13 05:55 am Link |
