Went to a car show at a Hooters up in Sanford this morning. An OK show. Most of the cars were less than 10 years old though. I didn't bother showing mine because it needs a bath. But, man was it ever hot! How hot was it, Johnny? It was so hot I can't answer the question. After about half an hour I was on my way home. You know, mad dogs and Englishmen...

Yeah, there was one 1940 Ford Deluxe two door coupe and a really nice Yenko Camaro convertible. The rest of the cars were new Mustangs, new Challengers, new Camaros and the like. A real treat was the vintage VW club did bring some really nice cars. See my Flickr page for pictures of some of the cars. https://www.flickr.com/photos/fotofrank01/

Ren Fairs and Medieval festivals... Ugh
I hate those things

Filthy, dirty, out in a pasture with a bunch of hicks and fat chicks in corsets

I like the food, but hate everything else about it

Great picture Frank!! xo

Carl, I think you have been attending the wrong faires, my friend! smile

I know I mentioned this before, but I will be attending a workshop in a studio in Orlando on July 25th. We have limited photographer spots available. There will be 3 models, myself included, to shoot with. This will be for portfolio building. If anyone is interested, please message me on here and I'll get you the details! smile

Yep, just goes to show some people are meant for air conditioned pampered experiences and some are willing to spend a few hours experiencing some of how things might have been during those days.

Not all are hicks, and not all the chicks are fat, and some of the corsets are oh good at doing what they are intended to do.

Yeah, I had that happen too. My 1978 Honda 750 was stolen from behind the department store I worked at back in the fall of '81. I never wished evil on another biker until that night, and never since. Why would a biker steal from another biker?

To follow up on the several posts made about the portfolio building workshop, here is a recap:

The event went well; we had the number of photographers we wanted, nine. This allowed us to have a team of three shooters with each model, with only one person of the team of three shooting for a set period of time, then next shooters, then wardrobe change.. There were three sets - white cyc wall (corner) , corner with brick on one wall, reclaimed wood on the other, and a wall with barn door made of rustic wood. Each set had two strobes, one diffused and one hard; two of the sets had soft boxes, the other had beauty dish.  We wanted the participants to see and work with the differing effects of the various types of light sources.

All in all it went well and the participants all seemed to be thrilled with the results of what they learned and the images they created.

Here is a short vid made by Syrena, one of the models, to show some of what took place.
