Congratulations to Germany!  Their control game was very impressive, even countered effectively as it was by the Argentinian defense. I thought the Germans played the better game, they looked to be the better team, but the game could've easily gone the other way.

I'm so glad it was won during game time and didn't go to a shootout. I realize that shootouts are kind of tantamount to a mercy killing, but it's still an unsatisfying way to end a game.

Really good game to watch. The winning goal coming late in extra time was just such nice sports drama. And the goal itself - wow. If you've played soccer before, then you know the artistry that went into that settle/jump/kick move by Goetze. Just, wow.

Enjoyed the commentators, I thought the officiating was quite good, the teams matched up well, and the finish was thrilling. A very enjoyable game to watch.
