hello everyone, so lately i've been battling my self as far as..WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY I ENJOY. if you could help me with my deciding factor..that'd be great. So based off my portfolio here and on my instagram (@Tamoi_) what type of photography work could you see me doing? And what could help me improve? Oct 31 14 08:16 pm Link Food. Oct 31 14 08:41 pm Link hard to base it off just 6 images, Anymore you can add? They seem pretty portrait/casual Oct 31 14 08:46 pm Link Blimey Studios wrote: I was thinking architectural... Nov 01 14 05:16 am Link Your images are way below the standard for shooting people. That is why they said food, or landscape, or anything but people. Not being unfriendly, mind you, just making you aware of the facts. While I can get detailed, I question whether your photographic skills are good enough to benefit from the details. You need to be taking some instruction. Nov 01 14 08:34 am Link GeorgeH wrote: What are you talking about?! We just did.... Food. Nov 01 14 09:08 am Link The second photo and the last photo are pretty good. if you stick to doing more shots like those would be great Nov 01 14 05:52 pm Link Not sure anyone can help you to figure out what sort of photography you like to shoot. That's something you'll have to work through yourself. As to what could help you improve? Here is what I can offer... I can't discern anything coherent from the set of photographs in your portfolio other than they feature young women's bodies - half of which are implied to be nude. I read this in your bio.... Like I said, this is my ART. I'm not interested in being another "Las Vegas Photographer" so if you are NOT looking for someone to take half naked pictures of you in a fancy hotel room, and you want to explore beyond that. I think you found your guy. and then the photos in your portfolio are: I can see that these are not taken in a fancy hotel room, but honestly I have trouble disassociating them with the rest of sentiment in that statement. I don't see "art" in these photos - I see half-naked chicks...in a car, behind a fence, and behind a tree branch. The hardest part of photography is understanding yourself what you want your photos to say and then being able to execute them in a way that actually conveys that to the viewer. I hope that's helpful. Nov 02 14 04:43 am Link Blimey Studios wrote: F-1 Photo wrote: Yup, food art. Otherwise known as fart. Nov 02 14 05:45 am Link I'd say food too. But start out with a monochrome poridge and then work your way up to maybe, I don't know....water? Nov 05 14 01:15 pm Link So you want a bunch of strangers on the interwebs to give you instruction as to what you are supposed to like and enjoy? I have to admit, in my 20+ years of reading online forums, this is a first. Nov 06 14 01:44 pm Link I don't think anyone can really answer that for you. You really, really need to experiment and find out what you love the most ! Also, practice it. A lot. I really like some of the pics on your instagram, but at the same time I see some possible lighting issues in others. Just run all over the place (have fun, don't do it for a living) and see what you can nail down a genre that you love and excel at Nov 06 14 01:56 pm Link Moderator Note!

Nov 06 14 02:01 pm Link What I don't get is WHY you want to "fit" anywhere? Art is about expressing yourself rather than trying to put yourself into a box with a label. The advice I can give you is try to connect to your individuality, get familiar with the work of legendary photographers, explore the work of current top top photographers. Perhaps attend a few photography workshops to improve your technique. Do some homework/reading on composition and lighting. Also, are you doing photography for your own pleasure? Follow its lead and forget about fitting in. Nov 06 14 07:20 pm Link You have a cinematic vibe. Maybe try to capture the model's face? Nov 07 14 10:36 am Link TAMOI_ wrote: The car image is great.
