Fine Photo... is it a scam?
I recently received an email from Jen Fine, who asked me to be part of her Boston project. Since I'm a new model, I'm always suspicious of offers that seem to be too-good-to-be-true. The images she sent via Google Drive are not opening, but this could very well be an issue on my end. When you click on "contact us", you are apparently able to fill in an email address that they contacted you at to see what they want to shoot with you. It doesn't work with my email address. http://finephoto.org/video/ Nov 21 14 08:08 pm Link "Email" or MM message? If "email", how did they get yours? Nov 21 14 09:19 pm Link Your instincts are right. Yes, it's a scam. https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=924188 SayCheeZ! wrote: SayCheeZ! wrote: Nov 21 14 10:56 pm Link Natillie Mei wrote: Any time that a company or agent doesn't divulge any real contact information such as a business address or phone number but only displays an email address... they're hiding something... and it's usually a scam. NEVER divulge personal information to a company that won't divulge their contact information first Nov 21 14 11:03 pm Link Thank you all so much for the help! I'm glad my instincts were right... and who would pay a newbie anyway? Nov 22 14 07:33 am Link I would definitely pay to work with you -- love the photo of you on the rainy street with the umbrella held high! Now, how do I get myself from New Mexico to Boston on my budget ... ! Nov 22 14 07:41 am Link Natillie Mei wrote: I agree with Christopher. I would work with you too. That said though it would be TFP to help you build your portfolio. Nov 22 14 07:49 am Link |
