I have experience of working with an agency from my teen years while in my home country. I stopped modeling when I moved to the US and focused on school and main career. Now I'm getting back in the field as a freelance model for the sake of art and love for photography. Please share your thoughts and opinions. I appreciate any input.
Kind regards :-)

Polina, I wish I could like your portfolio more than I do, but there are too many shots that are not positives:

#1 Well lit but you expression is elsewhere, your hand and arm are awkwardly placed and the headdress looks out of place. You have a lovely face.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/141119/13/546d1030930fe_m.jpg

#2 This is a photographer's concept photo, not a portfolio pic for you.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … 9c3229.jpg

#3 The same
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/141103/19/545849fac068b_m.jpg

#4 You are less than 1/3 of the photo. Your face is either overexposed or over-Photoshopped so you look plastic (that might have been the idea). Your nude breast seems out of place thus, not a plus for you.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … d41228.jpg

#5  Sorry, upside-down faces don't appeal to me especially when I can't easily make the right-side up. Looks like you have absolutely gorgeous hair. Wish it was better lit, so I could see it.

#6 Wonderful Noir shot. Who's the model?
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/141009/07/5436a2982987d_m.jpg

#7 The greenish tinge and the dead stare make me believe you are supposed to be dead - with plush toys.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140711/07/53bff8c70b0f9_m.jpg

#8 Finally! A picture that shows your beauty, your hair and your figure. One doesn't even care that your face is partially hidden. Your pose and your expression fit the mood perfectly.
<img src='http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140708/05/53bbe4d5bce99.jpg' />

#9 Your shoulders and hair are hiding your neck and making it seem short as opposed to the previous picture where your neck is long. You're twisting your left arm showing your elbow. Less of a turn would have lowered your shoulder and would have looked more confident. The body position and the outfit remind me of Mae West, who was an early sex symbol. Unfortunately, this shot has you looking like you've put on weight to resemble her. She outweighed you by about 40-50 pounds. She was said to have Ooomph! (Sexual energy). More energy in your eyes would have been good. I don't mean "sexy eyes" I mean life.

#10 Lovely figure and pose. Can't see your face. From what I can see of it, a very nice expression.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140513/03/5371f76da5a8d_m.jpg

#11 I should like this picture. Your smiling, we can see your face. There's just something stiff about it. The tulle is bunched and not arranged attractively. You've got 3 or more skin colors on different parts of your body. Not sure about your back leg position. Your front arm is cut off and then the detached hand under your leg.
<img src='http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140424/05/535901928d285.jpg' />

#13 Gorgeous green eyes (we can finally see the color), great red hair, porcelain skin - on an upside-down face.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130429/04/517e5d73eb23b_m.jpg

#14 Who is that woman and why is she in your portfolio?
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120306/22/4f57018ab247c_m.jpg

#15 Lovely, simple portrait, just wish there was more light on your face.

You are a beautiful woman.  If you want to make Art, there must be passion and you need to express it. With your eyes, your pose, your attitude. Look up Ingrid Bergman, Sophia Loren, Audrey Tautou,, Deborah Kerr, Audrey Hepburn. You need better photographers. Look at the portfolios of your MM friends and those who tagged you. There's talent there. By the way, your English is fine. I saw no grammatical or spelling errors in your profile. A major accomplishment on this site and on the Internet in general. I wish you all the best and come back with more pictures.

I bit Photoshop heavy - the pose is not flattering and I'm not sure what you're face is saying here. Hands seem awkward. With a more flattering pose and better lighting, I think this concept could work but this image isn't particularly strong.
I'd consider getting rid of it.

----
Two shower shots:
The first one I love.
NSFW: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37278989I think it has good expression and posing. The things I don't like about it are minor and more the fault of the photographer than you. I'd consider you for a nude or fashion nude editorial based on this image (of course I'd need to see more).

This one is not so strong. Kind of blown out (not your fault)... not as strong as the first. If it were part of an editorial series that included the first image and a few others, I don't think it would be bothersome, but on it's own it's not very strong.

This one looks like fun. I'd like to see a bit more of the story here to understand why you're looking off camera that way, but this isn't a bad image. As a retoucher I'd get rid of the knot on the big pink balloon.. it's distracting (not your fault)

Awkward looking upside down lady with poor lighting.
I'd remove this one.

YES!  More like this – hopefully there'd be one that showed more of your face.

This one isn't doing you any favors: the angle, the pose, the skin-tone and texture... ick.  I'd remove it.

---

NSFW:http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36392967

This one I wish the photographer cropped it in a little tighter and the pose is a bit stiff, but it's not bad.

This image does nothing to flatter your face, arms, breasts or mid section. I'd ditch it.

---

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140513/03/5371f76da5a8d_m.jpg

Not a bad image.. I'd like to see more of your face and a little bit of playfulness from the hands. It could've been composed from a more flattering angle, but that's not your fault. I'd leave it in for now until you have done more implied work with a better photographer.

NSFW

Other than your smile I can't think of anything good to say about this one.

How many awkward upside down shots does one model need?  This one too isn't doing you any favors. The wardrobe covers up all your 'good parts' and only lets a part of your tummy peek out and it's not a flattering angle for that. The color of your skin is inconsistent and pasty (not your fault). I'd remove this image.

I'd rather see a photo from this series than a behind the scenes. This doesn't seem to belong.

and

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110904/17/4e64150297c9e_m.jpg

Both have potential to be good images, but fall short of the mark. The first one is an awkward arm-pit pose. Also looks like half your body is just missing. Lighting on your face isn't the worst, but could be a little better (not your fault).

The other one has SOO much potential: attractive model in a wet rain-room!?  But your pose, facial expression aren't working for me here.... and the way it is lit and the color desaturated (not your fault) kind of makes it worse. It's not helping you get any work, that's for sure.
Out of the two, I might keep the first. The second one I would get rid of.

----

You are a really attractive model with potential, but I think you need to find some better photographers to work with who won't ruin your photos with bad composition, cropping, and retouching choices.

There are some good things in your port, but not enough for me to justify enquiring about your 'rates.' In other words, I really like your look and think you have potential, but your portfolio isn't strong enough to convince me to hire you.

With the current state of your portfolio I'd guess you'll probably get most of your paid work from hobbyists and GWC workshop hosts. And only because you're willing to model nude. These types of gigs are good to get you some $$$, but probably won't do much to help your portfolio.

For that reason I'd recommend you work work TFP with a few talented and experienced photographers until you get better work in your portfolio.

hope you find this helpful.
You can contact me via PM if you want to discuss any points further.

All the best
