I want to do a horror shoot in the NYC area.

Anybody know of any currently accessible locations, such as abandoned hospitals, schools, creepy houses, etc. that I could get into for a 1-2 day shoot? (Preferably with permission)

The old sanatorium on Roosevelt Island, maybe?

There is an abandoned castle/armory in the Hudson up towards West Point.

Municipal Courthouse in Rockaway (unless they have finally started renovating it).

Govenor's island may have some spaces that could work, and they seem to be very supportive of the arts.

There is a ship graveyard on Staten Island.

Wall Street is a drag. All the investment banks left for midtown a decade ago - only tourists remain.

Last time I checked, they were not opening photography access to the more interesting parts of the island i.e. the abandoned buildings.
