photo is here: http://www.lightretoucher.com/blog/ In this image I used frequency separation at the beginning, taking care of all the color mismatches and all the imperfections on the skin using the high and low layer that frequency separation provides, after this without merging all the layers I used a curves dodge and burn so I can work more on the skin and hear equalizing the different luminosity values on the skin and enhancing the luminosity values on the hair. I did not do too much of a color grading because I liked the colors in the original picture. For fixing the eyelashes I used a blank layer on with I used the smudge tool on sample all layers. A big thank you to Advanced Photoshop magazine for providing me with this image. Feedback is greatly appreciated, Thank you! Jun 05 15 03:52 am Link Pretty good freq separation in the first image. I would love to see the underlying luminosity and tonality of the skin be brought UP...so that the face is brighter. Its a good retouch...but for me the original image is a bit dark. I would enjoy seeing a positive brightening curve adjustment layer...it would bring up the brightness and also help the skin color. The image is about 3/4 stop too under exposed for me. Jul 20 15 06:49 pm Link |
