My dad's family is mostly German. I got his complexion mostly.

My mom's family is mixed and sort of dark. I have their facial bone structure, which is how I ended up with this weird nose-slope bone thing.

Got my dad's pale-ass skin though.

My grandmother is mostly German and totally looks it. I don't think I got any of it. I take after my mother who looks more like the Cherokee part in my family. Now my ex-husband is 3/4 German and 1/4 Irish and my daughter looks like a poster child for a pale, pink skinned, blue eyed German. She even has those rosey cheeks and naturally pink lips. My son looks more like me now but looked more like his father when he was younger. I was blonde as a small child as was my sister. I wish I were more naturally pale. Getting a tan just walking around the block does not make me happy. I hate tan lines.

My grandfather on my Mom's side is 100% German.
I could look super pale because of that but if I decide to get tan, I have 1/2 Northern Italian in me and it happens easily.

I'm all about SPF these days for the obvious reasons.

I actually tan pretty well. I just don't, because cancer sucks. I've dyed my hair since I was 13. I'm not redheaded either, nor have I ever been. My natural color is dark brown.

Dark brown is a nice color, esp. against light skin:)

I've had to get used to seeing it on my face again, after so many years as a bottle blonde or redhead.
