Ani KaShawn is a native of Anderson, SC but she developed her artistic identity in the metropolitan area of Jacksonville, FL. Since graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Fashion Design, her style has been inspired by an eclectic mix of visual artist, music and architecture, being recognized by high end designers and stylist such as David Rodriguez and Patrick Cooper. As a wardrobe assistant for Ebony Fashion Fair Tour, her styling and assistance was used to create great looks on runways across the U.S, Canada and some exotic islands. She recently collaborated with Jacksonville Magazine, “Cover Model Fashion Show 2009”, an annual event that benefits Jacksonville’s local charity “Dreams Come True” children’s organization.
Her ready-to-wear label, Vou... be inspired (pronounced vow) emerged from a perspective of fulfilling the need to be uplifted. Vou is a fresh and original line that is designed for the body and mind of its practically fashionable woman. This brand is created for the individual who follows no rules in the world of fashion and style, but she knows that one thing is certain… She vou’s to be stylish. She vou’s to stay fresh.
