About Me

Over the past, I had shot photos with two digital cameras and one film camera. You could possibly say that my photography “career” started with the film camera. Well, that’s only half true. The film camera was my first camera, and I did take copious amounts of photos with it, but I was very young and had no real intention of pursuing a solid career in photography. Truth be-told, I had wanted to become a veterinarian due to my forever compassion of animals. Come to think of it, I don’t quite remember going anywhere without that camera. I would just take photos of things that looked pretty or cool*.
Years pass and I am upgraded to my first digital camera, a little Fujifilm. Here would be the start of my live band photography career and the birth of two photos I would truly become so proud of. One of those photos was a portrait I ended up taking of my own mother for an article that was going to be written on her in Lawyers Weekly (a story for another time), and the other, a photograph of a sunset taken in Sarasota, Florida in which now proudly sits framed in a condo that my parents inherited from my father’s father a few years ago. Soon I would say goodbye to that little camera and hello to my second digital, a Canon.
Fast forward to present day, that Canon has helped me improve in photography, but the receiving of the Nikon D3000 on my birthday would only be the beginning to accessing new skills. Without this special camera, I would most definitely not be where I am today: here attending the Art Institute of Washington majoring in photography, and I wouldn’t have all the connections in the music industry that I would later need to help connect with more people in the photography industry!
