I started out practicing makeup on myself and then discovered zombie crawls. The gore appealed to me somehow and I desired to learn the technique. So for the past several years, I've done zombie crawls and been at various other venues in which to show off my makeup. In the past 6 months, however, I've gotten a taste for the professional. I started body painting in January 2011 and have been in 4 shows, which is a great start for a beginner! I love bodypainting, but my biggest goal is to go to school, learn makeup and mask-making professionally, and work on set in horror and sci-fi movies. I want to freak people out, to make them take a second look, and to wonder how it was done. I want to turn the beautiful into the grotesque and the plain into gorgeous. I absolutely love working with people and have over 15 years of customer service experience. Being a makeup artist is no different in that aspect. My goal here is to meet other artists and models, learn from one another, and get my work taken by professional photographers. I'd like to start building a portfolio and I hope to gain many lessons from that as well.
