About Me

Professional Experience: I have been an avid photographer for over 30 years. Started in 1977 as my High School class newsletter photographer with an old Minolta camera. In collage I collaborated with the school newspaper and upgraded my equipment to an Olympus N1 camera with a 50mm and a 50-150 zoom lens. In 1980 I was invited to the Miss Universe Pageant in Puerto Rico as a staff photographer. In 1982 I was introduced to medium formats with a Mamiya RB67 by the University of Puerto Rico lead photographer and became a member of Professional Photographers of America. During that time I covered numerous events for the University of Puerto Rico newspaper at the Cayey campus and also work on wedding and models photography. In 1983 I graduated from the Casa Aboy Photography Academy and became a Basic Photography instructor at the Department of Continue Education of the University of Puerto Rico. From 1998 to 2006 I was the Unit Photo-Historian for the 65th Regional Readiness Command, US Army Reserve. From 2007 to 2010 I served as the Unit Photo-Historian for the 54th Quartermaster Company, US Army

Exhibition List: From 1981 to 1984 I was a consistent contributor to the, Aibonito Annual Manual Arts Festival Photography Exhibition in Puerto Rico. I also exposed my work at the University of Puerto Rico in 1983 and 1984 in individual exhibitions. In 1985 I sold a series of large print of my work to Mutual Life Insurance that was in permanent exhibition at their Puerto Rico office for several years.

Publications: At the moment my work have not been published but samples of my art can be found in several site in internet

Academic Experience: I am a graduate of Casa Aboy Photography Academy in Puerto Rico.
