Due to the size & popularity of the original PhotoShopping Thread (and headache moderating it was creating for us) we've broken it down into two threads.  This one is for serious retouching work that will be used for promotional or commercial purposes ONLY.

RULES OF THE THREAD

  1) Images to be edited may only be posted by a
      PHOTOGRAPHER ACCOUNT. MUA's & Model's may submit
images to a thread moderator (see below)
via PM for approval & posting to the thread.

1a) Any image post made directly by a Model or MUA
is NOT VALID FOR EDITING unless the model or MUA
is the photographer and has identified the make/model
of camera and date image was taken in the post.
The information supplied in the post must match the EXIF
data of the image or it is not valid for editing.
Model self-portraits must be submitted to a thread mod
       for approval and posting.

   2) Posts must be no larger than 600 pixels on longest side with
link to larger or RAW image. Please use [ IMG ] & [ URL ] tags.
If you require help in posting, please refer to the FAQ under info
       above.

      https://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p20/chipweiner/PSRulescopy.jpg

   3) One image to be edited per post.

   4) Editors MAY NOT watermark an image, however they may embed
       EXIF data.

   5) Credit MUST BE GIVEN to the editor.

   6) Use of an image, in part or whole, in another image where the
original image constitutes 20% or less of the new image is by
Copyright Law a NEW WORK OF ART and is Copyright to the
image creator. The original image copyright holder is entitled to
a royalty equal to the percentage of the image part within
the new whole on any sales of the new image.

   7) Images that will be used for commercial purposes, resale,
or that will be provided to a client where there has been
(or will be) monetary compensation must be posted for BIDS
        for editing services.
All BIDS will be sent by PM to the
poster. Only an editor who's BID has been accepted may edit &
post the edits. You may include a sample edit in your bid.

   8) Violation of copyright will not be tolerated and any violations of
copyright will be reported to an MM moderator for immediate action
which could result in suspension of your account.

   9) The rules are subject to change, if in doubt refer back to this post
       for changes & revisions.

  10) This is not a critique thread.  Discussion of techniques and
constructive exchange of information is encouraged, flaming,
rudeness, and non-constructive criticisim will not be tolerated.

  11) The thread moderators have the final say in all matters.

I did a photo shoot, it was my 3rd after not shooting for ten years. I am really critical of what I like of my own, and I just didn't like any of the pictures that came out from the shoot. It makes me feel bad, because the girl in the photos is far more beautiful than I feel the photo makes her out to be - she's an eye-turner on the street.

(I was helping a stylist friend who wanted shots for her book, so she did the makeup and hair to her preference)

The images were not shot RAW, but high Jpeg (it was a friends Nikon D2x)

Please help me make one good photo out of this (I picked what I felt was the best out of what there was)

Welcome..Everyone!

I am looking forward to this thread because it provides an opprtunity for many to bump up the quality of there portfolios and even drive business their way.

I am a retoucher as well as photgrapher. I look forward to seeing some awesome and inspiring work in this thread. This is another way to network as many here are working in the commercial and corporate area like myself.

I cant always do it all, as a matter of fact I will be bringing PK Digital in on future paid projects as a result of seeing said work.

So, take your time, put your best foot forwad. Don't do 5 min retouches with global settings if you can avoid it. This is SERIOUS RETOUCH..

werk it!

Carl I worked on your image for about 20 minutes. Played with the levels, made about five different layers of the faces and kept different colors on each layer then took the original image and overelayed a super saturated very bright version on the top at like 10 percent opacity so that she doesnt look too plastic. Nice picture smile

Wow man....
DE's retouch is nice, but you might want to give other people some time to submit before you make your decision.
