Is this the page you're referring too ... doesn't seem updated in a loooooong time ...

Nope that was the one that I was looking for ... but that is a good page too.

Was thinking about trying to get some of the winners to Susie somehow.  Was talking with her the ither day and she can't get to the contest page ..... Camp and all ... so I though that I might be able to find another way ro get the recent winners to her without getting her in trouble.

the page I was looking for is this one:

https://www.modelmayhem.com/list.php?list_id=30850

Thanks for the other info though.

They used to. Put your name on the list so your image can be discussed (otherwise it's an unsolicited critique). If you get lucky and enter on the right day, sometimes it'll be discussed.

Like Laura said, ask to have your name put on the list, and then any day you'd like feel free to critique other entries or ask to have your own critiqued.  People will be glad to share their opinions if you ask.

Welcome to Friday review of the contest.  First let me say that was totally no fun tonight..first the site goes down right at closing time and then you guys leave me with the second tie in as many days.  And it's a frigging 3 way tie.  On the positive side you all voted for a total of 14 different works..like everyone BUT me got a vote today??  So it was a very hard time picking the winner.

So a real quick review cause I have to help my brother finish building the deck on my folks house in a couple hours then hang art work for a gallery show on Sunday at the place I live/shoot.

Wow what a pair to work with.  Had to say which is better.  Interesting way to pose them, would have liked to see a little more light on Tiana's face and more a looking into each others eyes.  But again that's my taste.  This image was going to be my vote till I really spent lots of time looking at the other two.  So Sorry for runner up today but great job.

OK...I have to run...check out the next to last image in this weeks toy series.  One more image on Sunday, then it's on to couples week.

You will have to talk with her about future travel.

Right now her own site isn't blocked and I've given her some "back door" URLS in case they do ... so as soon as I have the time I'll start keeping her posted.

These were the ones that caught my eye today ...

Cherrystone

Love this image ... well done ... I'm into black panties with jeans ... sorry ... beautiful model

Tommy Dee

18+ https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=7611399 18+

Love the diagonal and the wicked posing ... was on the top row of my selections today ... just outclassed today ...

Stefano Brunesci

18+ https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=7615166 18+

Great B&W fashion nude ... well done ... the skulls killed it for me ... I know ... little detail ... great posing and composition though

LeDeux Art

18+ https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=7612342 18+

I can see why Davi stole your heart ... moody, sexy ... the pink panties here detract from the color scheme IMHO ... overall a great look with another nice diagonal going on

Wyndham Photo

Please add me to the list

Also, I noticed in one of Tommy Dee's comments on the 18+ that Tiana is now a Playboy model? What edition - modeling, special edition, etc? She is a sweetheart and a joy to work with and Tommy Dee's pictures of her are some of the best!

This is probably going to be a really dumb comment, but I have to ask...why do so many models go for the no pubic hair, bald look?     Personally I think the natural look is much better in nude photography and definitely influences the way I vote.
Scott Foltz's winning POTD18+ entry https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=6169848    is a good example.

I guess most photographers don't know what the model has got down there, until the shoot starts!  I realize it is probably a personal feminine choice, unrelated to photo modeling, but maybe models think that is what the photographers want...little or no pubic hair.   But then maybe no one else cares and I am just a bit weird!

Nothing weird about it ...

Some models shave/wax ... some don't, some come up with interesting patterns, some trim ... etc ...

It's up to the photographer to ask if the model doesn't state it in her profile or if it's not clear from her portfolio ... most of the time it's very clear though ...

I prefer pubic although shaving lips and leaving the bush there is an acceptable compromise

There are a ton of threads from both models and photographers on the subject

YMMV,

Rudi

Particular for me was Shandra Star's collaboration - awe inspiring beauty, form and dance.

Yeah yeah...I haven't done this in a coon's age, so Ill toss in my little disclaimer. These are my opinions and thoughts. I don't claim to be "right" I only claim my opinion on what my eye sees, plain and simple.

Assuming this wasnt a blend, not only was the model's location A+, getting a vantage point to shoot it was A++. Photographically speaking I felt the lighting was superb, diagonals coming into the lower corners, perpendicular as possible without using Tommy's digital transit. wink
On the other side of the camera though.....I wouldve liked to have seen her standing in the opening of the rail, with a more imaginative pose. The job you did Stephen still makes it a eye catcher.

I liked this a lot. What kept on distracting me was the bottom of the lamp shade, and the foot coming out of the pillow. If this had been cropped at the top a wee bit more...I would've likely pulled the trigger on this.

Bodyscapes I dont lean to often. Many do them, many fail to hit the mark. To me, it is an artform to shoot consistently well. IMHO this one hits the mark on the levels I like to see. Lighting, minute detail,  focus, contrast, tonal range etc. etc. One thing that gave me pause was the hot spot on the right breast. After much thought, I decided I could live with it, and after awhile saw it in a differet light, no pun intended. I would hang in my library or office. This was it.

And thanks all for your support of Zinn's superb talents today.

What ever happened to the list of members who'd given permission to have their work discussed in this thread?  I haven't seen it on the last page, or on the next-to-last page, in quite some time.  And I get the feeling that posters may be discussing work by only a very few photographers and models partly because the list isn't readily accessible.
