Please share your feelings about the lights compared to others you used.
I was thinking of getting the White Lighting or the Dynalites but ended choosing the Profoto and I'm told I won't be disappointed

I'v used one for years. Repinned for norman with the reflector pan. Its a good piece. Funny thing is when I have my foot on the chord and trip the strobe I can feel the chord jump off the floor.

Well I bought a pair, (prev version) one is going in for repair after 6-9 mos use.....was erratic, misfiring, now dead........ My Acute packs, heads never fail.......

Prev monolight s were Hensel, also died , but only after 3+yrs of faultless operation....caps went out once already

Most everything Profoto... costs 2-3X what Dynalytes, White Lightnings cost,  lamps, reflectors, every damn thing..but hold value well I'm told

I have 2 600's with Acute heads and a ring flash. Just walked in the door from a shoot with them. I get hundreds of flashes without worry of the battery dying and the power control is very comprehensive. I have the units with a built in pocket wizard, which is really convenient.

Think he means the R6oo monolights.

I also picked up a couple B600 kits....(ONLY $4K, yikes) ..haven't yet used 'em..... shooting outside in midwest winter ain't gonna happen.....and I'd love a chance to play with 'em soon somewhere, before spring arrives.

I've got 5 of the 600R and 2 of the 300R...Love them...if I would have thought harder the ratio would probably have been 50/50 as the 600's are sometimes a bit much for some of the spaces I shoot in...actually had to buy a roll of ND ;-p ...with the Mag 50 reflector you really have to work to get down to a smaller f/stop...but it sure is sweet light

color is consistent across all lights as are adjustments...built in wizards coupled with the Sekonic are a joy

I've been using the 300's on location taking portraits of Olympic athletes...mostly powered by a Vag2 battery pack...quick cycling and plenty of power to spare

Ive used the 1200 Monos and I like them, but honestly, for 90% of the work out there, some WLs or AB1600s are enough.

When you travel with them you are so damn afraid of breaking them, even when you pack them in carry on..

I would check the ABs and not worrry about them so much, especially the pink ones, but these babies are worth a lot.
