From the FAQ

What lights should I get? What do you think about [some brand] of lights?
See the What to Buy section of the Lighting, Flash, Ring, & Battery Strobe Reference thread. (Or the Lighting Equipment section of that same thread.) If it doesn't answer the question, it should give you enough information to make a more specific question.

Just a few of the key details needed before a useful recommendation is practical: what will you be shooting (how large and what); what will you be shooting with; and what are your key concerns.

These lights are a bit low powered... at 200 ws ....

I personally would want at LEAST 300ws ... maybe 500ws,

But it all depends on what you plan to be shooting... 300ws maybe even 200 may get you by if you are shooting small product, or single models .. If you try to shoot larger groups of people like 10-12 or more, you will definately need maybe 800-1200 or more.....

Don't buy too much power! If you shoot in a small space and have too much power it will be a nightmare because you will have a hard time getting your lights too low, and will forced to shoot at apertures of like f22! Or, you will have to use ND filters, or back your lights up too far, or all of the above ... I think you want an aperture of somewhere between 5.6 and 11

This is so not true . . . just about any make of studio flash allows you to dial down the power.

The recylce is a bit slow. 2-4 seconds is too slow for me. (1 second or less is better) nothing like missing a shot because of a slow flash recycle.

Find out where they are made -- China makes it hard to get them repaired as they often use expensive and hard to find parts.
