well i painted a group of hotties all silver with Kroylans "liquid metal " in silver, it went on well with a sponge brush aplicator and stayed on all day while these hotties roamed the streets for gay pride parade last august in Toronto so if you watched the news you'd know it was hotter than hell there. the only pace it moved was thier arm pits and forheads but I think that cuz they touched thier faces and they sweated alot.
I think it worked really well and gave the whole "tin man from Wizard of Oz " like look, only with out the led . They did mention that they had to scrub with baby oil to get the stuff off.
It's about $12 a bottle and I painted 5 guys with about 3 and 1/2 bottles of paint.
I did it sparingly as we only had 4 bottles and didnt know how much would be used on each person, but I would totally recomed this product. if you only have one person you probably would only need one bottle, and you could be fairly libberal with it smile

Most all of the sweatproof/waterproof stuff:
Alcohol or baby oil. Alcohol is faster...
A first pass in the shower with shower gel helps (has oils in it).
One model I've done a LOT made a scrub out of sea salt and baby oil...

Deadly Design has the best suggestion I've seen yet. Mehron has a great metallic powder, but I've yet to get a way to put it on that it doesn't either stay really wet or dry out and flake off.

I really like Temptu's.  Probably my favorite that I've used so far.

(tongue in cheek)...um, not shooting my partner, not sure the model would stand still for my lending a hand.... but, hey, could always ask.

seriously, thanks for the info, folks.

well i ment the model could bring her partner to scrub her back. Or she might be able to put clothing over the paint and go home and scrub up. and get rid of the silver skin

I've used alot of the different paints mentioned.

Mehron liquid is cheap, water soluble, and reasonably durable. there are some tricks to getting it to stay longer, depending on the color, mostly using different setting powders and a spray sealant. Some colors (Black, blue) will stain fiberglass or synthetic showers and tubs if not scrubbed off immediately. They will also absorb into fingernails that aren't sealed with polish.  Mehron white tends to crack real easily.

I painted one model with the Reel Creations airbrush paint - it went on GREAT! (though it is expensive) - nice and smooth, no cracking. He went swimming in the lake with the paint on - and it didn't run or smear at all. It was wonderful until he tried to take it off.....we found the easiest remover was not the Reel Creations remover, but the Bath and Body Works moisturizing hand soap.

The new Temptu paints are as durable as the Reel Creations and apply well through an airbrush or brush.

The biggest "NO" to bodypaint was what my brother did - in the Ga Tech Marching band, he made a bet that he could march in the game barefoot and nobody would notice - so he spraypainted his feet white with Krylon. It took him about a week to get it clean.

I still like their liquid white - it is so nice to apply! but may be it is a painter in me talking now wink
yes, it tends to dry and crack if applied in a think layer, also sometimes you can see brush strokes, in this case I just go over it with a sponge, while it's semi-wet.

Also, I figured that you can go over liquid paint with a sponge of cream makeup to make the color stand out more

May I ask, where can I find it in Dallas?
I wonder if it is an industry store here, where I could try samples of it

thanks!

If you're concerned about being able to remove it...use a barrier cream beforehand.  Any cream with silicone in it well help from staining the skin.  There is a product actually called "barrier cream" sold at safeway...(canada) but i imagine its a fairly accesable.  I do believe ben nye or mehron make a barrier spray as well.

There are several places to get the paints, visit sillyfarm.com or cinemasecrets.com they have great customer service and are very helpful and quick to answer any questions that you might have.

Best method - hire a body painter.

Since you most like really want the next best - use Mehron Metallic Powder with Mehron Mixing Liquid.  There is a free sheet on how to use it on my site www.thepaintednavel.com
