Hi there! Looks like we are FINALLY ready to roll! Woohooo!
Just wondering if we can include nudes or partial nudes? They are NOT "Naughty" just "Artistic".
Miss Redd (coming up on 49 ALL TOO FAST!)

ok.. as this book is a "Coffee Table" type of book, and there is a chance that if it is on a coffee table... that children might see it, or someone might not like to have it out... Lynn and I as editors have decided:

NO NUDES, NO TOPLESS... Implied is OK.

Sorry to all of you gorgeous and beautiful models.. but we have to be aware of everything that could possibly happen.

However... we may do another book of "Over 40" nudes down the road if there is enough interest.

That is weird.. I thought it was starting PMs that was limited, not replying to older ones.

Yep.. she does have that right as it is her creation.. but I would think that free publicity, plus a Tear from her work in a published book would be something most (but I guess not all.. lol) photographers would love to have.

check with some of your other photographers.. we would love to have you in the book. Only two Male models wanted in on this.. and I havent heard from the other one.. so if you get one we can use.. you will be the only male model in the book.. at least I havent seen any other male images..

I only wish that I had followed this thread longer. I followed it for a good while but before the book was mentioned. I would have LOVED to have been in that project. I have one over 40 model that would have been ideal, namely my Avatar model.

LOL.. Shea.. you are more than "Image worthy"...

you can submit images too you are on the list...
if you submit them you need to make sure you have the photographer's written permission to use/submit the images for a published book. Not All model releases allow this, and we have recently seen one photographer who did not want her images published.

check the specs and feel free to submit...

OK, the question becomes: It is past the 15th of Sept. and I wasn't here before so is there any way to participate in the book project? If the date goes on I would be glad to be listed as a WV photographer for the project.

Unfortunately Lynn Louise closed the lists awhile back, so I cant add anyone.. unless she decides to do so.

The September 15th date was supposed to be the deadline for shooting.. and was to at that point be a referent to get the pictures finished and emailed to me so they could be placed in the book.

Andrew,

I will be e-mailing three images of the OP to you later this evening.  If I send you images that are larger then the required specs, will you be able to still use them or do I need to re-work them to the exact specs you list?  Let me know!

I really hate to hear that as I would love to particpate. I LOVE shooting with older models and this project really was interesting to me. Please keep me in mind should something arise that would extent the submission dates.

Adam... no larger than the specs... I dont want to have an issue with any photographer that I cropped or resized his image in the wrong way. a tiny bit larger is ok.. I guess, but the publisher says it will not look right if I place the larger image in the page..

and NO logo or watermarks...

REMEMBER, that is the recommended size per the blurb publishing site. I have played with other sizes.. and they dont always look right.

wait.. only 3????
