I'm not fond of using henna for colour as it's impossible to remove if you ever want to pursue a different form of chemical service.

You could always try using colour enhancing shampoos to make your own natural colour pop without chemically altering your hair.  You can use them every day or once in a while it's up to you smile

Henna was a major pain. Hard to put on, hard to get off, and then the chemical issue.

Any brand in particular you recommend for shampoos? I tried one brand a while back and it really didn't do anything.

Well, here's what I can tell you. I love that cut, and I love your face. I can also tell you that that cut will be a much more mature look in a sexy way. There's no way for me to tell for sure how it will look on you over the internet, though. I think it would be great, but I can never be sure without putting my hands on you. smile

Don't get me all excited with that provocative language, hehe. I would love to go super short, I just have to ask my hair dresser how my hair would go with a cut like that. It has a tendancy to go frizzy sad

Any hair stylists or MUAs out there who can give me some advice?

I have full bangs that cover my forehead and I spend A LOT of time walking around(outdoors) to get around to castings etc. Now, for some reason, always whenever my hair gets blown around in the storm, I find that it makes my bangs super greasy and disgusting, even if I just washed my hair the same morning. Why? I don't have oily skin and I don't wear any foundation or anything on my forehead except for a little moisturizer. I don't have greasy hair either, I usually don't have to wash my hair (except for the bangs) more than 2x a week.

Is there anything I can put in my bangs to prevent this...? Or a quick fix that I can use (hair powder? anything!?) in lobbies, Starbucks or wherever, to go from a greasy mess to polaroid ready..?

Thank you!

I just cut bangs, and have this same problem. Its really strange. Travel sized Ojon Dry Shampoo ($11 at Sephora) for your purse. Spray it through your bangs for 2 seconds, then comb through, and they look fresh!

No problem.

Also works great to freshen your hair in general if you have to put off washing it for a little while, and doesn't leave any weird white residue. It's great and it smells amazing.

In addition to the Ojon, try your best not to touch them with your fingers. Your hands hold a lot of oil that deposits everywhere you touch.

::wink wink:: haha.

It's definitely a cut you'll do better to style more than just let go, but good styling products should take care of the frizz.

ok i have a shoot tomorrow with no MUA available. im pretty good with my daily makeup. i actually did a few makeup classes and such but i know doing it for photos is completely different. heres my question. i always contour and highlight for everyday wear. the stuff i use to highlight is pretty shimmery. someone told me i shouldnt use that for a shoot bc it can come out looking shiney on camera. so what is your suggestions as far as that goes?

Some shimmer is good, some bad. What product do you use?

Is it a creme or powder? I'm not very familiar with NARS, but if it's their version of MAC Strobe Cream or  Smashbox Artificial Lights, then you're fine.

Hmmm, well, if it's a pearlescent shimmer and not so much "glittery" then I think you should be fine, but, like I say, I'm not really familiar with NARS.

Ive been debating for a while and since you offered...
A. I'm brunette right now. I love it I think its fabulous, but I'm bored out of my mind! Shoudl I go back to blonde?
B. I realize its a long long process and very damaging, but if I do go blonde again are there any special bleaches/dyes that would minimize the damage or just excessive conditioner?
Please and Thank You!

Currently I have an old mohawk that's growing out and I sometimes use extensions.  I'm wanting a new look but am not sure what hair cut/style would look best on me.  I wouldn't want it to effect me being signed.

I do have a question please....I am thinking this is my error and not sure how to fix it. Would like to know before I spend money since its almost non existant right now.  (err the money I meant)

I took wonderful make up lessons from a fabulous talented make up artist. I still use most if not all the info and make up we bought and or she gave me from that lesson. (yes I did pay for the lesson btw). I use dior foundation and its the perfect shade etc for my skin tone. I have the concelers and the um brush pen for lightening....powder that matches etc. My problem though is I put it on at home...get to a shoot indoors ( I dont wear it normally out doors but if I do it gets worse) and the foundation is dry and comes off looking that way. Lines between my brows really show as do the ones on the corners of my mouth. I do not normally wear make up except mascare and lipstick on a daily basis....The foundation was only for shoots...to give that all over same clolor effect. (I am very white so I have and sometimes get redish white blotches on my cheeks) She did advise I use a moistuizer. I did and do use nutrogenza oil free moistureizer but no its still the same problem.

I spoke to another mua that worked with a photographer I know and she advised primer underneath....ok np but she doesnt use primer (the second mua) but does use airbrush on me and it was fine....no deep lines between the brows and around the mouth....

what is it I, moi is doing wrong here? I have varied the foundation light or more and still the same. I know its something I am doing but cant for the life of me figure it out.

Do you think I should get the primer and all will be well?
Thank you so very much for your time and info...its greatly appreciated.

(note ....great thread op!)

Monica

use your moistureizer every time i dont think a primer is realy going to make a diff to be honest

dab foundation onto skin and blend  insted of brushing it on

try a transparent finishing powder insted of a colored setting powder makeup froever makes a great one so does mac

i dont like foundations personaly i usaly like to just use concealer on red spots or blemishes and just use a light finishing powder

You need to pre treat small sections with hair spray, curl them with a 1" iron, roll them up, pin them, and then spray them again. Let them cool completely, run your fingers through, et Voila!

You need to upload those images to a host site, then link them.

Also, I know this will sound totally bitchy, but please proofread your posts. That was actually kind of painful to read.

I already have 2 and a half languages knocking around in my head, I don't need another, lol.

Here is a fun question. I am naturally red, not magenta but red. I have a very very pale skin tone naturally, and although i turn 33 this year I look about 22-23.

I have started using the Loreal adult acne care system, and I am seeing a difference, but here is my question.

Why is it when I wake up in the morning my skin looks perfectly clear? Then as I live my life it gets more bumpy and red throughout the day? The same thing hapens when I cry, perfect skin for 10 minutes, then the worst skin ever.

This image looks a bit desaturated to me, and i look like a troll, but beyond that it is what i look like when I have been sitting all day retouching. (I also just took a nap and hour ago)

How do you curl them?  Do you clamp them or wrap around the barrel?

I was wondering the same thing. Although I have more of a yellow undertone to my skin, native american and Irish. It makes me so mad! I go to a derm and he tells me that things take time. I get that but damn it!

i've got a dull hair question i'm afraid

my hair is currently a bob like my avi, but its now razored at the back and slightly grown out

i really want to get a very short pixie crop like mariacarla boscono:http://media.photobucket.com/image/mariacarla%20boscono%20blonde/insane-and-proud/mariacarlagerardlol.jpg

i'm not sure if this would be a smart move, do you think it would suit me?

i'm also wondering whether i should keep my very dark brunette colour, go dark chocolate brown or go blonde like mariacarla

thanks

Go chocolate brown and grow it out. i don't think you could pull off short hair unless you've done it before and have pictures to show me. i would rather see you with shoulder lenth-ish hair.

I think your face is too 'soft' for this. The pixie cut looks best on someone with strong bone structure and a narrower chin.

You could work with the pixie 'style' though and tweak it to suit your face by lengthening it a bit.

Here are a few I think sould suit...
