backpack
Looking for backpack. Mine died. Your experience with any particular brand? Need to carry one DSLR, 2-3 lenses, light meter and small stuff like cards, batteries, wizards, etc Mar 15 09 09:59 am Link Domke is a good brand. Mar 15 09 10:04 am Link The Lowepro Slingshot is probably the best solution I've found. It's a real backpack, so you can hike right along without things bouncing around. Once shooting, it usually comes off my back and goes on the ground (watch for scorpions!). It's discreet, so it doesn't look like you're carrying $10,000 worth of equipment, but it handles equipment nicely. Mine has stood up to about three years of abuse, including several long trips and nearly daily use in-season. I'm getting ready to break it out again as the weather warms. Mar 15 09 10:55 am Link I have 3 LowePros: a belt pack, a shoulder bag, and a LowePro Computrek AW (All Weather). They are very well designed and high quality. The backpack lets me carry two DSLRs, five lenses, a big tripod, and numerous filters and accessories comfortably and securely. Mar 15 09 11:04 am Link There was a good backpack thread awhile back, I wonder if someone can find it, because it listed a bunch of good ones. This one is simple ,and straight forward enough . http://products.lowepro.com/product/Fli … 116,14.htm Also check out www.crumplerbags.com -Phen Mar 15 09 11:11 am Link I have a few quality LowePro's but if you are looking for an inexpensive bag of great quality...Amazon has a Canon brand backpack for around $40 shipped. They are a perfect size for 1 or even two DSLR's and a few lenses and accessories. Search for Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG. I have carried two of them all over the world, they are very durable and other than the big "CANON" badge on them they look fine. Most importantly, they are about half the price of comparable packs. Mar 15 09 11:14 am Link I have a friend that swears by anything from this company http://www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_products.html Mar 15 09 11:43 am Link I have a Tamrac Expedition 7x and I love it... It's a big bag and I have it stuffed... Mar 15 09 11:46 am Link Or you might try the Tamrac Expediton 5 as this is a little smaller. I've carried mine around the world. The smaller size might be important if you travel by air as the airlines are getting more strict with regard to carry-on baggage limitations. Mar 15 09 12:01 pm Link Kiboko by Andy Biggs at www.guragear.com Finally got to see one---very light, great quality---carries as much as my Lowepro Computrekker AW, yet is as light as my Think Tank Ultralight. Mar 15 09 12:20 pm Link I have a Tamrac that serves me extremely well. I recommend the brand. Mar 15 09 01:49 pm Link Eldor wrote: Yes. Mar 15 09 02:25 pm Link Its For your Expensive Equipment...
