I'm just starting out modelling, and am wanting to do glamour, topless etc more than fashion. But looking through other models picture, I am so flat chested compared to them.
So yay or nay to breast implants....??
I just feel they would boost my confidence

not nesaserily breast implants at all nless it is what you want, and not just for a modeling career that could only last you a few years, if you are lucky!
herbal teas, message your breasts, makes a bit of difference to the shape/size at least make tem seem fuller.
of course there is glamour photographers who will work with models who dont have insanely huge boobs, I've seen models who do glamor modeling with normal boobs, anyone would feel a bit shy of models with more "potential"
you just need to really prove yourself infront of the camera smile

FYou and me both! smile been contemplating implants since I was 18, still haven't gotten them yet. its your decision to make! we cant make it for you. Make sure you do your research and truly get them for YOU! Any other reason would be silly.

I don't mean this to be rude or harsh, but it escapes me why any woman or model would think at artificial body parts would or should enhance your beauty or confidence!  It's a myth.

Learn what you like and model for what works for you and your body.  Trying to be something that you are not naturally, fails in the long run.  If I was to decide to model, I would have to accept the fact that since I am 6.1, 260lbs, without washboard abs, I would not make a good swimsuit model.  Yes, I could get an operation to provide the boost you speak of, but it's only temporary, and the penalty of doing so, gets greater over time.

So in closing, love yourself, improve yourself in way that you won't be ashamed of or regret as you mature.

Implants will not make you more in demand - quite the revese. In the UK most photographers and magazines are looking for 'natural only.'  Sun, Page3 for instance has a policy of natural only models - so forget it.

Get some photo shoots with GOOD photographers. That will boost your confidence more than any implants ever will, and it's cheaper, less bother, and pain free. Good luck. smile

Personal choice,

But my vote is nay. You will see some of the most successful models here  have smaller breasts than me and I'm a guy!  You would only go under the knife because you cant change that particular part on your own natural accord

Focus on enhancing and perfecting everything else first, like facial expressions, arm work, leg work. learn to be dramatic, fun, angry and diverse.  By the time you have reached perfection in front of a lens, the size/shape of your breasts wont matter at all...

You'll be the wanted model for who you are, what you have achieved and what your capable of.

Generally my advice would be no... stay natural.  But you cause to arise an additional question.  How can one judge the necessity of a change when you can't even SEE what it is you want to change?

Which brings me to another comment I can't resist.  Why do models say in their profile they will do certain kinds of shots (and I don't mean just nudes) and then they don't show ANY examples of those shots?  If you will do swimsuit - show yourself in a swimsuit; if you say you shoot fashion, show an example; and if you say you'll do nudes, SHOW AN EXAMPLE!  And if you don't have any examples - get them BEFORE you publish your portfolio.

Sorry for the rant and you aren't alone - I just don't understand it.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Just looked at your pics. Nothing wrong with you at all. Spend a few extra dollars to see a bra consultant who will give the perfect fit. Most women are wearing the wrong bra.
Wear a push-up when you next a little boost.
B cups stay looking good for a long, long time.
From a personal observation, implants usually look like implants. They are almost always too big and almost always showing a defect.
Your breasts will become all that anyone sees. You don't want that...

Implants can look very natural if they aren't overdone and done by a good surgeon, but don't go softball boobs.

As a photographer though, I'd vastly prefer a naturally flat chested model to a big boobied fake chested one.  As long as it looks very natural, that's what matters.

You are not ready for implants until you can look at yourself in the mirror and say "I want them" and have NO questions about it.

I have implants.  I did it for me though...not for modeling.

It is expensive and painful.  Save your money and pay cash.  Taking out a loan for implants is silly.

I have had my implants for 2 years.  I love them.  I also researched for years before I decided. I also saw several doctors before I made my decision.

when i joined mayhem i got a new camera (even though i had a perfectly adequate one) partly to boost my confidence which it did. so i understand that aspect of it better than i did before.

do you know that photographers can plump what you have up a bit in photoshop using tools like liquify and dodge/burn?

i like shooting natural (even if small) but i understand why some get the implants. just hopefully they get it done in a way that won't hurt their health on down the road. and maybe don't get huge, gravity-defying creatures that are out of proportion to your frame.

Ashleigh, there's a ton of work for models without resorting to breast surgery. I would worry more about tattoos than breast size if you're looking for a career in modelling.

i love hair myself (especially wavy/curly). one model came with hair extensions that were fun. it's not all about the girls. but do make sure the bikini fits well for glamour shoots. personally i don't like seeing bikini bottoms that are all scrunched up.

natural breast rock.... there is a reason why women with implants are so prone to undertake suicide. They feel that the new boobs will change their life, and when they see the implants did not fix whatever really bothered them, they get depressed and desperate and suicide becomes part of their thought pattern

This is not the best of reasons to be getting implants.
Odds are, you are just paying more attention to larger breasted models.

Trust me when I say you will get plenty of attention from photographers with your breasts just the way they are.

I'll say this, guys like breasts. Large, small, it doesn't matter to most.  Natural is much more appealing than fake IMHO. I've seen too many distorted breasts and scars that just look unappealing.

Oh yay another breast implant thread.

Ashleigh, breast implants for modeling?  No.  For your man?  No. Breast implants for you?  Yes.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion on implants, (especially on this website!!).

If it's something you want for yourself personally then go for it.

If it's because you feel you should do it for the sake of modeling only, then don't.

Implants are a double edged sword anyway. You may get more work because of them or you may get less. That puts you at about even as far as that goes.

For the record, you have plenty to be confident about already. Just trust that you should be.

one of our boudoir customers shot with us shortly after enhancement. i had to photoshop out the scars. she sounded a bit weary of the whole process that she had to go through and said she wouldn't do it over again.

i was told that if they go through the nipple that kills sensitivity? that part doesn't sound good to me.

Nice contribution to the thread. Perhaps you ought look at Jack Nicholson's quote you posted on your profile?

You are correct, but there are clauses in it. I will disagree with any man or women who is going to get breast implants/pectoral implants/testicular implants/abdominal etching... etc...

Just as no male is going to become a huge success because he just got abdominal etching done today, women are not going to become a huge successful model only because they had implants... What MOST of these people are not realizing these people who did these... WERE already successful and did this to step up their career even more... You don't take a women who is a no body, and after she gets breast implants and a week later she is the face of Victoria Secret...

Nor do you take a guy who has a gut, give him abdominal etching and he is on all the boxes of CK Underwear!

If your going to get plastic surgery, get it for yourself... but not for modelling...

I hope you realize that some women who are lucky, get larger breasts after motherhood... It highly possible if your a small b, to become a full c... However, this does not mean go have a kid...

Honestly, it's hard to judge from looking at your port.  Beauty comes from confidence in one's own self.  Frankly, a smaller chested woman is just as attractive as a woman with larger breasts.  How a woman comes across in their demeanor and poise means everything.  I would seek out talented Photographers, who can truly capture your beauty in the best light.  I know that you will find that you are unique and truly sexy.

However, in the end it's your choice.  Should you decide to go with the implants, please do way more than enough research.  Know ever possible risk, side effect, and benefit.
