It's probably not best to discuss what those reasons might be here in a public forum. If you have questions you can always use CAM. I understand, but I'd appreciate some feedback once you do get the application, or at least at some point. That's all. But okay, kind of got the answer I was expecting.

Do you have to be super experienced to apply for this? I'd love to apply but I won't deny the fact that I'm still a beginner in the industry.

First rule of Gatekeeping is read and follow the rules. www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=597051&page=1 To apply, please initiate a CAM thread with the first line reading "Seeking Zuul" along with your sex, location, and profile category. For example, if you're a female model from the UK, your CAM title should read: "Seeking Zuul - Female Model - UK". People who do not follow this subject title requirement will be deemed to lack the ability to read and follow instructions and will be disqualified immediately. CAM it, hope to have you on the team.

I'd still like to add a few more stylists and MUA's to the gatekeeper roster.

Dean, are you still trying to bias your GK selections away from photogs and those of us in the US? Hmmm...that sounds hostile, but it's not.

One potential recruit/volunteer wonders if there are legitimate downsides to being a GK? After polling a few folks, the worse I can find is that some people are intimidated with working with a GK! If there are any others that I've not been made aware of, please be candid and share. Thanks. BTW bumping--is there a rule or regulation on that topic? or not? ;-)

I like being a part of a team that helps shape this site. Sure, we (the GK Team) are sometimes bashed in the forums, but, I don't take it personal and don't let it upset me. I really can't think of a downside since I have started. You can always apply and if you are selected, try it out for a few months and see if its for you. If you don't like it, or feel it's not for you, you can always ask to be removed. I doubt you will though. After a while it becomes addicting!

Few would deny that diversity is a wonderful aspect within our industry... Please view the privilege of Gatekeeping as a stellar opportunity to be proactive on behalf of the entire Mayhem community... While it does require focus and dedication one can not help but grow professionally in this role... As such Gatekeeeping on Mayhem can possibly be an adjunct to a career path within the industry... Thank you for your thoughtful consideration here...

Hhhmmm... I was brigged a few times. But it wasn't my fault... I was Framed! I wanted to be a under cover Moderator but the program was never implemented.. Should I bother trying Dean?
