Mar 27 11 03:40 am Link awesome series I "discovered" on facebook, called "The surrender" model Marlous van Zee (dutch pride, whoop whoop!) photographer Jaimee Peeters (www.jaimiepeeters.com and http://www.facebook.com/jaimie.peeters) what do you think? *pics deleted* Mar 27 11 04:49 am Link London Andrews is my favorite! Mar 27 11 04:57 am Link Size shouldn't matter, a model is a coathanger for clothes. If they look good then whats the big deal? Mar 27 11 07:02 am Link Joe Flemming wrote: not really what this thread is about, but you do have a point. Mar 27 11 07:09 am Link The best is when they say it's societies fault, LOL! Consumers don't want to see plus sized women, that's why they don't use them as much... Mar 27 11 07:42 am Link Nadirah B wrote: EDIT: never mind folks, I'm just confused Mar 27 11 07:57 am Link You totally missed what I said. How'd you do that? Lol. When you speak to a company and that's a response they say, I know it's just because they choose who they WANT to wear the clothes. Don't blame the consumer. We just want to see someone attractive who can fit the clothes. Mar 27 11 08:01 am Link Nadirah B wrote: okay now I'm just confused. Mar 27 11 08:04 am Link I said THEY... Mar 27 11 08:13 am Link good thread. although I usually take pictures of ordinary people I meet on the street (who never live up to standards a large part off the industry wants us to believe is the 'ideal') I've never worked with an actual plus sized model before... after seeing all the beautyfull pictures here i wonder why ? maybe it's because they are really well suited for glamour shots with all the lovely curves... and maybe I'm doubtfull in my own skills and weather I could pull this off as this isn't really my thing... yes it's silly... anyways they bring something new and refreshing and deserve all the attention they got coming to them... as it has been overdue... Mar 27 11 08:40 am Link new face! Jess size 10-12 5'11 36-29-40 [img] Mar 31 11 03:59 pm Link Laura C (in my eyes, one of the future plus size supermodels... that girl is on fire!) for simply yours lookbook oh, by the way, photographers (and models): this is extremely flattering light. I call it anti-cellulilight Apr 01 11 04:12 am Link Marianne Michaela wrote: I was just about to comment on how beautiful her skin was!! very pretty Apr 01 11 09:39 am Link All of the models posted are stunning. Being a child of the sixties, we are responsible for the slimmed down look of most of today's models. Since the advent of "Twiggy" media seems to have a preference for the slender look. Great look, but I think there is also a place for curvacious, voluptuous models and the posted images confirm that. Should be more of it!! Apr 01 11 05:04 pm Link exciting news! australian plus size topmodel Robyn Lawley is on the cover of french elle . I just heard the news, I hope I can find a picture somewhere the next couple of days. wiiii, so excited! Apr 06 11 01:06 pm Link okay so I found a preview here's the cover! hoping to see the fashion spread too somewhere... Apr 06 11 02:45 pm Link Love love love this thread! These women are beautiful. Thank you for this. Apr 06 11 03:04 pm Link Marianne Michaela wrote: See! Europeans are great at using diversity! This is proof!. If only we(Americans) would start showing diversity....or is that having too much to do with the mayflower (or whatever that guy was talking about lol) Apr 06 11 03:08 pm Link How big is a plus size model on average... How are they classified??? Is it by dress size or cup size...l cause some of them have the figure that most women would like to have... when is the line drawn that a model is plus size??? Apr 06 11 04:57 pm Link Emmysarah wrote: in theory, plus size modelling starts around 6-8 (in other words, where regular size modelling ends) and goes up to an infinite size. In reality, plus size models are between a 10-12 and a 16-18. different markets like different sizes. Apr 07 11 02:17 am Link by the way, what is everyone thinking about the freen fishnet tights Robyn is wearing on that cover? I'm not loving it, but it works in the picture because you see so little of it, I think. But any more would spoil the outfit... anyone care to try it in real life ? Apr 07 11 04:22 am Link here are the other pictures from Robyn Lawley for Elle France I really like the outfit, but this is the only picture that makes me think that they photoshopped her body... her hips look so slim compared to how her hips look in the other pictures. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just a super flattering outfit . anyways, I love the purple stockings with that graphic black and white dress! favorite outfit! I think something is a bit off in the boob area here... in love with this dress!!!! love love LOVE this picture! my opinion: although I think Robyn is absolutely stunning and I applaud Elle for doing this, I don't know what to think of the editorial. It doesn't come across as a consistent series to me, and the styling is quite commercial sometimes. especially for Elle, who has some amazing fashion series from time to time, and because the cover was so strong, I was expecting a little bit more I think. Nonetheless I am super happy and proud for this series, and I think Robyn did an awesome job! it's sold out EVERYWHERE here, I'm happy that I found the pictures online. what do you think? Apr 10 11 08:47 am Link Marianne Michaela wrote: I love them. Especially the 3 dresses (not the blue with the green fishnets but the others). But you're correct, It's definitely more commercial but I'm not bothered by that. She did great! Apr 10 11 10:35 am Link Marianne Michaela wrote: I love the spread, but I do agree with you, Marianne. It doesn't come off as entirely fashion as Elle normally displays. It's a bit more commercial than usual, which I'm not really bothered by either. It's still a beautiful, beautiful editorial! And exciting to have a plus model grace the cover! Apr 17 11 02:54 pm Link Bump Apr 20 11 09:01 am Link **Bump Bump** Robyn looks great. I love seeing models (plus or not) with movement and life in their images. ....gotta get my butt back in gear! Apr 25 11 09:01 pm Link 2 new fresh faces join the industry. looking forward to seeing more of them! they were discovered during a plus size modelling competition in the UK...
